First I want t o say thanks to Mark Miracle for the pass.2nd I want a speedy recovery to #4, Justin McIntire. 3RD thanks to the guys in the press box, for the rosters.
Talk had Elizabethtown has a big favorite to win this game, but someone forgot to tell that to East Jessamine because not only did they play like they did not know this, they ended up winning the game.
The Panthers defense got a nice play from,Dillon Swank who got to Justin McIntire and held him to no gain, with 10:25 left in the opening period. On the same drive Kyle Gann used a nice spin move to break a tackle and pick up a first down. With 8:45 showing on the clock McIntire picked up 13 yards on a nice run, but in the process he was injured and was taken to the hospital, where it was reported he had a broken leg. 6:33 showed on the clock when Jay Becherer hit East Jessamine's Gann and held him to a 2 yard gain, to being up a 3rd and 11. With 5:39 left in the quarter facing a 4th and 9 the Jaguars opted to go for it and the Panthers made them pay for it when, Chase Bridges dumped Valdon Miles for a 12 yard loss.
With just 4:13 left in a fast moving opening quarter, Bryce Feck and Jacob Bowling teamed up to take down Chase Bridges for a 5 yard loss. On the same drive Feck would get to Elizabethtown's Derek Smith for a 1 yard loss. The E-Jess defense was fired up big time to start this game out and for the most part they stayed that way all game long.
The E-Jess defense recorded a sack on Tyler Durbin with :48 left in the quarter, with Yamar Woods making the play.
At the 18: mark of the quarter Kyle Gann picked off a pass for E-Jess and made close to a 35 yard return to bring the crowd to their feet.
With 10:40 left in the half E-Jess would recover a fumble, when Durbin put the ball on the ground and Connor Hearn pounced on it like a cat on a rat.
One play after the recovery Hearn, #2 threw a 24 yard touchdown pass to, #11 Max Derby. Derby out jumped two defenders to make the catch. A two point conversion run by Trevin Smith make this a,8-0 game, with 10:27 left in the half.
Jay Becherer picked up 17 yards for E-Town, with 9:35 left in a very hard hitting opening half. The drive fizzled out a short time later with a punt following.
With 5:34 left Deman LaDuke broke two tackles on 3 and 9 to pick up a E-Jess first down. The momentum would go back to E-town when LaDuke put the ball on the ground and Becherer came up with it.
E-Town could not get anything going on offense and they were force to give the ball back to E-Jess.
The clock showed :35 left, when Justice Davis got to Valdon Miles for a 5 yard loss. The play allowed E-Town to take a little something positive to the locker room with them.
E-Town received the kickoff to open the 2nd half and did so with a boom, when Becherer exploded for a 65 yard touchdown. A two point conversion was successful, when Durbin hustled into the end zone and this one was all locked up with 11:45 left in the quarter.
Xzavier Daniels teamed up with Becherer to hold LaDuke to a short gain, with 10:32 left in the quarter. The E-Town defense was bound and determine to keep Uncle Mo. on their side.
At the 10:03 mark of the quarter Kyle Gann sprinted to a 43 yard run to bring the East Jess crowd to their feet and for their sake bring Uncle Mo. back to their side. With a little under 9:00 left in the quarter Joel Lupresto got to Gann for a three yard loss, bringing up a 4th and 6 for E-Jess. Gann would atone for the loss on the third down play, when he picked up the first down. His gain gave his squad a first and goal on the 8, with 7:59 left in the quarter.
Gann would make a ill advised pass that was picked off by Noah Peeler in the end zone and ending a nice East Jess drive, with 6:56 left in the quarter.
E-Jess got a sack on Durbin by Matthew Whitaker, with 6:16 left The play resulted in a 8 yard loss. The drive came to and end soon after.
At the 4:17 mark LaDuke busted off a 16 yard gain, where he showed hard running by braking a tackle and showing a little toughness on the play.
E-Jess retook the lead with 2:14 left in the quarter, when Gann connected with LaDuke on a fine 29 yard completion. A two point conversion pass was picked off by, Andrew Heady to keep the score, 14-6.
The E-Jess defense got a nice play from, Matthew Whitaker who held Kass Disney to no gain. with 1:47 showing on the clock. Both defense had some very good moments in this one.
Just :34 later Eric Green brought the E-Jess crowd to a roar, when he picked off a Durbin pass.
Good fortune would find E-town, when Donavan Huskey pounced on a LaDuke fumble, with 26.5 left on the clock.
The quarter ended with Durbin being sacked by Jacob Bowling and company, with the play resulting in a 2 yard loss.
With 10:47 left in this one Connor Hearn threw a pass in the direction of Feck, who seemed to tip the pass and making a big time interception was Chase Bridges. (I hope this is correct/was hard to see as the crowd was on its feet again.)

Facing a 3rd and 4 with 6:21 left E-Town got a sweet 11 yard completion from Durbin to Derek Smith, to pick up the first. The drive hit a bump on the road when, Eric Green hit Huskey, who got the ball on a double hand off, holding the dangerous runner to just a 4 yard gain. E-Town ended the drive with Durbin finding a wide opened Derek Smith for a 15 yard score. Casey Roberts gave his team with his point after kick, with 5:24 left in the game.
The E-Jess offense showed it was not going to fade into the sunset and take defeat, when Gann hooked up with LaDuke for a 57 yard completion. The five play, 83 yard drive came to a close on a 4 yard run by Aaron Fortenbury, with 3:24 left. Cameron Smith stopped a two point conversion run by Hearn to keep this a,20-15 E-Jess lead.
The E- Jess ended this one with two nice plays. The first was a sack on Durbin by Matthew Whitaker and the last was Hearn stopping Durbin 3 yards short of the first down on a 4th down play.
