Who are the front runners at Bath?

Brian Hall may be a good option for Bath.

He very well could be but he lives in Lex if I'm not mistaken and I know he loves where he's at right now.

Bart Williams???

I have heard a handful of names and hopefuls but there has been one that has inquired that would be hands down the winner in my opinion. Not saying who but I would think it's his if he wants it....and it not someone who has been there before.

If Bath can get Brian Hall they better get him. Great teacher, great coach, and an even better guy. Powell really screwed up getting rid of coach Hall.

Coach Hall would be a great fit at Bath County.

He could be but as of yet not one of the names I have heard.

Anthony Wireman is reporting on the other site that Maze Stallworth has shown interest, he didn't specify whether or not if he applied.

Maybe Troy Lee Thomas should go back there and coach boys. I hear he's still a legend there

Did't Jim Hicks coach there? Stranger things have happened.

Yes

Is Coach Hicks back in the conversation to come back to Bath County?
03-30-2016, 08:46 PM
Bart Williams would be a good option.

Don't be surprised to see Coach Hicks back in Bath. He really liked it there and he has never stayed anywhere longer than 3 years so I bet he is looking.

Bath County needs a long term solution to build the program up and sustain it. Both the new staff and the administration must commit to that.

What are the Pros and Cons of this position? Program? Facilities, etc?

I heard around the courthouse yesterday that Bart Williams is the leader for the high school job.

Brian Hall is in the Front of the Pack!! Heard it today!!

I just heard Bart Williams was in the front...

Williams may have a couple options to choose from.

Bart will make someone a great coach. Pikeville showed no respect for him. He took a team with below average talent and won several games this season. The biggest thing he did was represent Pikeville with class and loyalty.

Agreed Bart is a hard working coach and maybe getting away from Pikeville will be the best thing he ever did coaching wise .. Wish him nothing but the best for him and his family ..

I also agree.... I think if Bath County can get Williams plus his family they would have a class family that is very solid and loved by everyone that has ever known them.... They work hard at church and fit in with everyone in the community....

Good News Update:
Just as I predicted a couple of weeks ago. Shelby Valley's Jim Hicks spotted in Bath County last week looking around and meeting with their superintendent, Harvey Tackett. He told superintendent that he was not going to apply for the job but wants the job and wants the offer. He told super he doesn't want to apply if he won't get it so he can tell everyone he didn't even apply. Hicks trying to get his wife the music teacher's job their that is retiring this summer as well. He is trying his best to make it a package deal for him and his wife. SV better try and get Elisha Justice quickly if they want him as their next coach. Pike Central is calling him every day I heard wanting him to take the job and Pikeville is still in the game for him as well from what I gather.

He did show up but all he did was disgruntle everyone in the town.
Bath County will make an announcement soon and it will blow the doors off the gym.
