I know the ejection rules were modified in the last few years. Stardust seemed to have the best take on them. I am curious how a player that throws their helmet, gets called for unsportsmanlike conduct and ejected, and a player gets ejected for fighting on the same play on the same team both get 1 game suspensions by the khsaa. it seems the fighting would be more serious than the helmet throwing thus would warrant a more serious penalty. just curious on the thought process.

It's my understanding that any ejection carries the same penalty. However, for fighting the KHSAA can further investigate any suspend for longer if warranted.

Correct me if im wrong, but starting two or three years ago, fighting now carries an automatic 2 game suspension. If you get thrown out in the 1st qtr, you would miss the rest of that game plus the next two games. Im pretty sure its that way now, although a school can appeal.
