Somerset played well and wore young Williamsburg down. Bunnies just had more kids who could play

What's up with the burg?

They played well to start but the Jumpers finally woke up to put them away. Williamsburg went up 13-0 off a pick 6 and a long pass in the first quarter. Then the Jumpers finally turned it on and scored 27 unanswered. Defense was about like last week, solid for the most part with some hiccups here and there. O-Line seemed to struggle early in with the pass rush. That's really all I can comment on without having an the game in person. A win is a win, next week is going to be tough.

Williamsburg will improved each game and will be ready to make a run in District. Hang on hazard and Pikeville.

^ I don't think you can sleep on that district. Pineville and Harlan are much improved and I think that district is wide open.

Williamsburg is got a long way to go. Coaches are just beginning to figure out who belongs where. Patterson was quarterback last week and had 100 yard receiving game this week. Running game was abysmal. But getting Gray and Dunn healthy should go a long way to fixing that. Coaches made a defensive change at halftime which slowed down the bleeding. They may be able to go back to that kid later but he was on the wrong end of a mismatch last night.

How can Somerset be winless last season and a STRONG 2-0 this season? That is pretty impressive.

Bunnies had a bunch of close losses last year. Break here and there last year and they win 5 or 6 games.

Congrats to Somerset...I was pleased with the progress Wburg made from the
L C A game, I saw improvement on both sides of the ball...The run defense and tackling was much improved, but the D backs got abused all night long by Somersets #3 and #13....Alec Poore looked pretty good at QB considering this was his first time to play signicant minutes, he did throw 3 ints but over all I was pleased with the effort...Moving Patterson to WR move proved proved to be a good one...Still have to get a few more kids in the right spots...
