Franklin County 60 Shelby Valley 6
#1
Final from Frankfort

I bet Shelby Valley got a good pay day to make this long trip for this kind of beat down!!! Ouch!!!

Wow

I didn't see the game, but I'm assuming speed killed in this game. Ole country boys usually have a hard time dealing with suburb or city speed. That's why the University of Belfry' s state titles are so impressive.

Nothing negative to say about Shelby Valley. FC was way faster and really dominated on both sides of the ball. They controlled the line of scrimmage. Also FC play's very fast and it really took the air out of SV. Mid way through the second quarter SV's players were bent over gasping for air. SV has some really big players and they played hard for 4quarters and never quit playing hard. I hope they can rebound and have a good year!

Thanks FcFlyers , yes Franklin Co had speed and size..Also Valley starting Fullback Rowe only played 3 series and score there only TD but had to sit do to a recurring injury and there Starting HB was ejected over a incident at the end of the 1st qtr .. Not saying that would have change the outcome but if definitely didn't help it !!! SV will bounce back and learn from this game .. Good Luck Flyers on the rest of your season

Coach Ratliff will not be happy with this performance. Time to get back to the basics.
#7
Looks like Franklin Co may have gotten a defense.
#8
the score is surprising.

Is it a flying circus at Franklin County again? When they had Timmons they could score from anywhere at anytime.
#10
Actually Rowe only played 5 plays. He could hardly get off the field after the touchdown. He was very doubtful to even take the field.

That did not help them but at the same time 60 points...... it is clear SV simply wasnt ready for this kind of challenge

Yea we paid them to come play!!!! Your a fool.

SV done some good things FC still has work to do. The wildcats were gassed early and then the flyers out hit them rest of the game.
#14
FC would not have gotten as many touches with Rowe playing. The 4 carries he had was 17 yards and a TD. But with that being said FC was the better team, on to week 1.

Yes on a drive that started on the 7 yd line, dude our jv running backs and back up qb scored 4 touchdowns and the defense scored as well, no offense to the young man, but wouldn't have made a difference.
#16
Not to mention continuous clock in the second half, that would have made game longer equaling more offense.
#17
Shelby valley will regroup from this an come back stronger, I look for valley to be one of the better teams in 2A this season
#18
SV will be a good team, bad match up for them early.
#19
FC is very solid. I thought it would be a close game, it wasn't. Valley had some bad luck early, but FC was the better team. FC will challenge for the title with the speed they have.
