After a rough week at the perfect game spring swing lc bats come alive at Russell. Game called in the top of the 6th. Lc scores 5 in the 2nd and 1 in the 5th. Russell scores 2 in the 3rd. Lc has johnson central tonight at louisa in the 1st game of the big sandy bash.
This years teams for the bash are Lawrence County, Johnson Central, Greenup County, and Wayne WV. Should be a good 3 days of baseball weather permitting.

I was told umpires called this in top of the 7th. LC had a base hit with nobody out and a huge lightning streak flashed and they said that was enough and called the game at that point.

Sounds like the umpires wanted to get home. Haha. They are usually only bad for that type of stuff when it's a varsity /JV double header. It is amazing how the officiating keeps getting worse and worse every year and the requirements aren't changing either. So it'll most likely get worse before it gets better.

The umpires called a delay for lighting the coach from Russell immediately called the game the umpires and feltner agreed. Game over. By the time everybody got to their vehicles the rain came so it was a good call.
