lol

There is some amazing fact about all 4 of their state championship titles. Rushed for something around 1,500 yards and only thrown for, I want to say, less than 40?! lol

Amazing.

He may be the best to ever coach in Kentucky. I think what makes me like so much are his humbleness and being so moral. Lots of winning coaches I have been around like to start rumors on themselves. Love to tell lies about themselves and think someone owes them something. Great to hear this about Coach Hayward. I have only met him a few times, and he is so classy. I would of loved to of had him for a coach when I played many years ago.

one of the best high school coaches in the entire world.it is not about wins/losses it is about fellow human beings.

He is a class act for sure.

With guys like Jeff Norman playing for, him, no wonder he won so much.

That 2004 game never got it's due I agree....Doug Howard and David Jones were lights out. Doug Howard was by far my favorite back in the early 2000s then it went to Fugate from Breathitt and now it was Austin Hatfield. Belfry has had some dandies but Howard, Jones and Hatfield take the cake.

Believe me, it takes a great coach to pound something into my thick head, I'm honored to have played for coach Haywood. There's not to many people in you life that you can give credit to your career path, but he is the reason I coach. Philip Haywood is a great coach and an even better person. I'm blessed to know him.TongueirateSho
