QUESTION How can Meade and Scott County play against each other in the regionals this year and against each other in the state championship game last year?

This is a shocker.

Match ups rotate between districts yearly in the 6A playoffs, unlike other classifications.

They rotated so that no single district had to play the super district every year.

Thanks for the answer to my question. I sort of remember people on here discussing that early on now that you've explained it. I don't understand how it works...but, I do remember some people talking about it. I'm glad for Meade and their win. They have an undersized, but, very athletic QB with a big heart in the Wilson kid from what I understand. Good luck to them from here on out. They are going to have their hands full with the private school big boys.
