Estill County comes in at 5-1 averaging 46 points per game while allowing 13 points per game.
Bourbon County comes in at 4-1 averaging 41 points per game while allowing 11 points per game.
2010 was the last time that Estill County defeated Bourbon County
Thoughts?

After what Bourbon did to Western Hills without Holman and 4 starting lineman(according to radio), this one could get ugly.

If estill doesn't turn the ball over and can have success on the ground they will be where they need to be at the end of this one

I think its closer than what people think.
If Bourbon blows Estill out, I'd feel much better about where they are. If its a barn burner, then I don't think they make it back to the semi final game.
Bourbon's line is basically thrown together right now and has been all season. There may be 1 player on the current line that would start if everyone was healthy.
It's hard to be great when your best asset is running the ball and your worst is the offensive line.

I like this Estill County team. I could see them pulling an upset in the playoffs... heck I could see them upsetting Garrard and hosting a playoff game.
With Bourbon's injury bug and the kind of player Jones is it wouldn't surprise me if Estill made this a little too close for comfort.
With that said, this game is at Bourbon and Estill simply doesn't have the speed or athletes to run with those thoroughbreds in maroon.
Tight for a Half...opened up late with big plays.

Pulling for Estill... If Estill's line can make some holes and defense can make a couple big plays, this will be tight into the 4th...

Wrong Estill County bro. No more toe to toe. Gameplan is to spread it out, get Jones in space and hope he make defenders miss.

Don't think so... If the line can keep them off Trevor and make some path lanes in the process, Trevor has the ability to make things happen....

Bourbon wins...but comparing Estill, Bourbon, and Garrard....Garrard beats both of them....and District 5 wins 3 of the 4 1st round playoff games.

I'd be highly surprised if anyone in Bourbons district plays them to within 21 points and that's being nice.

Not sure what you have to go by when comparing the three teams, but time will tell ... that's for sure!

Estill will have trouble with Bourbons defense with or without Holman. Western hills is very fast and they maybe crossed mid field once in the game. Bourbons D is fast again this year, their offense can score, not as good as last years offense but still good. Bourbon 42-14
