When are the people of Boone County going to start asking some serious questions about the direction their front office is taking their football programs. The best team in Boone County lost to Campbell this weekend by two scores. Ryle is likely to win three games this year, two of which are likely to be against other Boone County Schools. Conner gave up 50 to a struggling Ryle offense and Boone has fallen to a low that few would have ever thought possible. Other front offices in the area have made decisions to improve their football programs and put their money where their mouth is concerning facilities. When are the people of Boone County going to demand some improvement and dedication to athletics from their BOE. It is amazing how every other public large school in the area is beginning to surpass them.

And what is this "front office" stuff? High school education is not pro football. The reason everyone is at any school first and foremost is to get an education, not to play sports. Of course I understand that in Boone County playing sports may take precedence over education in deciding where kids go to school. Maybe the "front office" needs to hire a recruiting coordinator and staff. They could increase their revenue stream by negotiating lucrative media contracts. A concentrated merchandising blitz of player jerseys, total control of concessions and parking should generate enough revenue to field a competitive team depending on how recruiting and draft picks go.

Kenton County Schools are open enrollment. Scott, Dixie and especially Simon Kenton have very health football programs. These schools built new facilities when their BOE got tired of losing athletes to BW and Cov Cath.
Building a new high school and providing a swamp to play football in says everything you need to know about the commitment to athletics in BC.

If you are an athlete looking for athletic scholarship, it sure helps to be in a successful program where the coaching is well respected.

Where is everybody moving to? Kenton or Boone? As in those new to the area.
On a side note, when everybody learns to accept in the overwhelming, VAST majority of places...that talent just cycles, things become much easier to figure out.
Few places are exempt from this.

Every other school system in the area has dedicated money to their facilities. Boone County has done nothing. That is definitely a decision that has been made by the front office. I am not talking about talent cycles, I am talking about the obvious lack of care that their front office chooses to display toward their football programs. They have made it plainly clear that football is not a priority, which is showing from the top down. I am not from Boone County, but it shocks me that this lack of dedication to athletic success is acceptable within a community that has their history of success.

It's got more to do with the growth of the county than anything else. Watering down the product, but there is no choice to not grow. Check out Scott County in about 3 or 4 years and see where their two programs will be. Not dominating like they are now for sure.

Boone County, Ryle, Cooner and Cooper's problems are that they've all played programs that are equal to or better than theirs this year. Conner lost a ton from last season, so their slow start was expected. Ryle has a new head coach, and have played a tough schedule so far. Boone County has also played a tough schedule, and the coaching staff is trying to piece things together in their 2nd year. Cooper is having a strong season so far, just had issues with a really good Campbell County team that's a class ahead of them.
I don't think it's the administration, but more who they've played and the circumstances for each program.
