Quote:21-3 Estill County Lady Patriots may be Winningest Middle School in any sport.
The Estill County Middle School Lady Patriots fast pitch softball team is 21-3 record going into the final week of play and maybe the winningest middle school team in any sport.
The Estill girls kept their undefeated tournament win streak going on Saturday by winning the Jackson City Invitational with a perfect 3-0 mark.
The Lady Patriots used a 3-RBI home run by Taylor Duechle in the first inning of the championship game to power past East Perry for the 4-1 title game win.
Estill outscored their opponents 15-4 and remained in the winner's bracket of the double-elimination tournament all day with big wins over Rowan county, Jackson City and East Perry .
Estill's pitching duo of Kelly Lay and Kaylee Covey once again dominated their opponents as the pair struck out 33 batter, while allowing only 6 hits, 3 earned runs and seven walks on the day. Lay and Covey also helped themselves at the plate, as they were responsible for 7 of Estill's RBI's with a triple, 3 doubles, 6 singles.
Amelia Farmer and Elizabeth Hardy were responsible for the other two RBI's with key singles. Sara Wiseman just missed her first home run of the season by hitting a line drive off the fence for a double in the morning game against Rowan County.
Saturday's wins improve Estill's record to 21-3 as they enter the final week of the regular season and begin preparing for the Commonwealth Conference Tournament May 9-10.

Was scrolling throug a bunch of different post that you have and saw this one. If Iâm not mistaken last years middle school team was very good. 7th grade went 12-3 and 8th went 19-0. Of course they had a bunch of games canceled for weather.
