2014 56th District Baseball Tournament held at Danny Wood Field, Estill County High School, May 19-23. Have no idea what the dates will be but it will be during the week of May 19-23
Estill County is the defending district champions, 2 years straight but the last time Estill held the district tournament, Powell County demolished Estill in the district championship game.
1. Estill County (6-0)*
2. Powell County (3-2)
3. Lee County (2-3)
4. Owsley County (0-6)*
Couple things:
1. * Locked.
2. Powell County and Lee County will be playing on Tuesday in Beattyville to see who will be the home team on the scoreboard in the district tournament. Powell beat Lee 6-1 earlier in the year so Lee County would have to win by 7+ to be the home team.
3. Lee County and Owsley played 3 times, once in a tournament/classic (All "A" Classic), with the game added they are (Lee County 3-3), (Owsley County 0-7), without the game being counted (Lee County 2-3), Owsley County (0-6)
District Scoring Averages:
1. Estill County (6-0) scored 75 total runs in the district (12.5 runs per game), only allowed 6 in the district (1.3 runs per district game)
2. Powell County (3-2) scored 40 total runs in the district (8 runs per game), only allowed 7 runs in the district (1.4 runs per district game)
3. Lee County (2-3) scored 39 runs in the district (7.8 runs per game), allowed 37 runs in the district (7.4 runs per district game)
4. Owsley County (0-6) scored 11 runs during the district games (1.8 runs per game) allowed 113 runs during the district games (18.8 runs per district game)
The Lee County/Owsley County game in the 14th region all "a" classic was not scored in the scoring averages for the district games, those two are in the same district but tournament games don't count as a district game/meeting.

Doesn't matter what the district standings are in the regular season when it comes to the post season, Estill County had the best record and was the #1 seed in the boys basketball district tournament but lost to Powell County in the district championship game so anything can happen.
Good luck to all the teams the rest of the season and post season!
