Best Point Guards in the 14th
#1
IYO who are the best point Guards in the 14th region?
#2
Stepp-JBS
Hicks-Hazard
Brandenburg-Lee
Johnson-Powell
#3
Neely if he would have stayed at Owsley County would have been #1 in the region for point guards. He could handle the ball very well, and he could also handle the pressure. He would have been, but now that he's gone i would have to say the stepp is number one followed by brandenburg-lee, johnson-powell, and hicks-hazard

I agree with this. I would just have to add Skidmore from powell, Although he wasn't out there as often as Johnson last year he did a good job of handeling the ball, setting his team up, and pentrating when needed.

Brandenburg.

IMO i think Howard for leslie is the best ball handling point guard in the 14th. he's so quick and keeps the ball so low to the ground that u can't do anything against him. He isn't a big scoring threat but he can bring the ball up by his self in any kind of press. He leads his offense well.

Hicks is the best guard in the region. This will be his 3rd year as starting point guard and he has had many awards. He has a knowledge for the game that matches no other, he is quick, a terrific ball handler, and great passer. He is a natural floor general and he is the 14th region poy. He knows when to pass and when to shoot and has a natural shooting ability. I will have to see another guard in this region be better to believe it. I believe Hicks stole the ball from Howard in the district last season.

Stepp and Brandenburg are miles ahead of every other PG in the 14th. Hicks ability to shoot the ball is what makes him so effective. In terms of a true point guard, however, Stepp and Brandenburg are clearly the top two.

IMO Powell will not have a true point guard this season, they will have several players who handle the ball, but not just one person bringing the ball up the court. Johnson, Skidmore, and Christian Brewer will all handle the ball. Others who can handle the ball consist of Kinser, Dennis, and Southwood.
#10
Surely there are more players on the powell team that can handle the ball
#11
IMO i think jon skidmore is one of the most underated point guards in the 14th region. he is able to drive and create his own shot as well as step out and hit the three when it is needed. he probably has the quickest hands that i have ever seen on a player. it wouldnt surprise me if by the end of the year he is talked about as being one of the top point guards in the 14th.

Hicks is an all-star now ain't he. I heard he was skipping college and going to the NBA. I don't hardly believe Hicks stripped the ball from Howard. He might have stolen a pass but he didn't strip the ball from him. All i said was that Howard was the best ball handling point guard. I would rather Howard bring the ball up the court than Hicks.

So Golden ONE,seems I hit a nerve with you by stating my opinion. We all have them.
I did not say Hicks was an all-star. I said he is the best guard in the region. I watched the district game last year and I said that I believe Hicks STOLE the ball. I did not use the word STIPPED. Whether it was on the pass or not, I can't say. I personally think you owe the Hicks kid an apology for saying he was skipping college and going to the NBA. Afterall, I believe most players in the region read these boards. So what if you think Howard handles the ball better, that is your opinion. I believe Hicks is better and I would rather him bring the ball up the court.

oh my bad, STRIPPED
#16
i think that Grimm form jenkins is a good pointguard he is just underated!!!!
#17
Hicks- Hazard
#18
I would have to go with Hicks from Hazard. He's a 3 year starter, good ball handler, can shoot the lights out, and has the experience of playing in the state tournament at Rupp. He'll have a lot of confidence this year, and that's important when the big pressure games are on.

I don't say anything I don't mean.Hicks is good, but to me he is more of a 2 guard. Shoots the ball to good to play the 1.

Justin Hicks

I think everyone is overlooking Corey Gamble from Cordia, but I do agree Hicks and Cox are tough, but when JBS is in a close game Clark Stepp does all the ball handling, that way he can shoot without having to worry about getting him the ball.

Don't know Corey Gamble but I agree with your point about Stepp.

I think that johnson from powell has improved his game big time, i mean he can just flat out handle the ball better then about anyone in the region, but i got to give credit to brandenburg from lee county, Imo brandenburg is the number one point guard in the region with johnson from powell number 2....
#26
howard kid from leslie co..
#27
Stepp? I doubt it. Hes good but hes not one of the best in the 14th.
