I knew they had an awesome pitcher that transferred from Garrard county and pitched the last couple of years helping lead them to a couple of region crowns. I thought that her and a couple other really good players graduated though? Hate to think they are recruiting.

Boyle County has recruited a total of 5 players from Garrard County over the last three years. There will be 2 or 3 still on their team this year. They've also recruited kids from Lincoln, Mercer and Danville that I am aware of within the same timeframe. Unfortunate is right....

The quick fix approach to "building" a program. Little respect for those who do it this way.

Of course the private schools have been at this for years, though you do hear tales of a few public schools doing deeds like this from time to time.
Ballard HS in Louisville is apparently notorious for somehow getting the top level players from other schools not just in Jefferson county. It is a pretty cheap way of going about fielding a HS softball team.
In the end, the parents are the biggest instigators and hold the majority of the blame.

The parents certainly to blame---the ones that are always smarter than the coaches. Summer ball coaches and this that give lessons fuel the fire with such parents and players. Ultimately, the coaches at some of these schools should shoulder most of the blame. The private schools have nothing in the public schools that are doing this anymore...

Now I read that Greenwood has a Senior pitcher transferred in from South Warren, 9 miles away in the same county? rdog, you seem to be correct with your assessment of certain public schools ability to find a different set of rules to play by.
