Move UK to the MAC or even Conference USA and they will hoist a conference thophy year in and year out... but for a better chance than winning a national championship before Michigan? :please:

Not crazy. And you may be able to say the same about michigan. What gives uk a better shot is their conf is the real deal where the big 10 is just a little better than the Mac.

Maybe I'll put it this way: going to michigan will get you no closer to a national title than going to uk.

LOL....Reading this statement, I was just thinking about that time in the mid 2000's that MAC conference Ohio University beat Kentucky. Confusedhh: That was just about the death knell for the Rich Brooks Coaching era.

But, I'm also old enough to remember Eastern Kentucky University beating the snot out of Louisville in 1985 when I was a senior in high school. Confusednicker:
That was quite a day to be an EKU fan.

What school doesn't have an embarrassing stinker on their resume. Which FCS team beat Michigan a couple of years ago?

Kansas state got toppled by ndsu this past year.

Yeah. I know what you mean about every team having a stinker. It just came to my mind when you mentioned MAC schools about that loss. Nowdays it doesn't mean much, but at the time of the game, it really sucked. I do respect the MAC some though. I have a buddy who's nephew played for MAC school Toledo a couple of years ago. He is now the starting safety for the Dallas Cowboys. See Barry Church. Heck of a player and it has been fun watching this kid develop since his high school days and follow his dream.

That was Appalachain State U. that beat Michigan. I was in Louisville watching that one on TV at Mark's Feed Store BBQ restaurant.

Yeah...you are right. Roy Kidd had a pipeline of talent came through back then. Behind Elroy Harris was the Thomas kid and in between was a Crawford I believe. That pipeline came from Florida and Georgia if I remember right. Cloud of dust offense.
I know that he has better coming to him, but, I wouldn't mind seeing another Harris running the ball at EKU. Easy for the family to get to the games.

Cox and Hensley were in that mix also. Cox broke all of Dorsett's HS Records if I remember correct.

You remember correctly, paw!
