I think I remember some Owsley fans complaining that they weren't ranked in the top 10 in the 14th Region.

I think I remember some Owsley fans complaining that they weren't ranked in the top 10 in the 14th Region.

Owsley has had some issues this year. Their potential leading scorer and rebounder and a two year starter transferred to Buckhorn just before the season started. Then aother starter broke his arm. And another starter has missed a few games for disciplinary reasons. But they aren't winless as the opening post stated, they defeated Lee County about 10 days ago.

But I don't recall any Owsley fans on here questioning in the pre-season why Owsley wasn't rated in the region top 10. I think Strikeout might have made a comment about it but he is from Estill and is from the 56th, same as Owsley. At that time neither he nor Owsley fans had any idea of the upcoming depletions of the roster. But I don't think any Owsley fans, certainly not me, had any delusions of beating Knott Central, Perry Central, Hazard, Cordia, etc. However until the roster depletions there was a chance to knock off some of the programs ranked 5-10 ,but that's not saying they were a top 10 team, just one that could possibly win some of those games. And they're still not terrible. They beat Lee and played Estill to the wire a few nights ago.
