Pike County Central 2014
#61
I don't see Combs interested in the position. He is good with the kids and they put out the effort for him but I believe he is headed back to Breathitt to help Moore and call his defense or help Collins one. If they want to keep the air raid system they better go after him because he knows that offense. Plus he is a defensive minded coach so I'm sure in practice they will do more than go over offense. Like I said though I don't see him interested in the position. I'll see if I can squeeze anything out of him but I'm sure he will stay hush.

Thinking of Holcomb. We will see.

Belfry does have a good program. Coach is A #1. However, how would they be if they didn't have all the kids from WV?

1. PC Drops out of 3A to get away from Belfry

2. Belfry drops out of 3A

3. Belfry has 15 starters and 9 backups Injured and can't play

So in other words it Ain't gonna happen..lol

How many players are actually in the Belfry district and not Mingo or other schools? You can go in Belfry's parking lot during a game and there are way more WV cars instead of KY

Really like that post. No difference in a player transferring from another county in the state. Belfry looks good for several years to come. Nobody can say anything bad about the COACH and his staff. Kids love to play for him.

This seems to be a topic every year. Just let it go. And next time there's a game go and count the number of ky to wva liscense plates.

i laugh when i hear how many players from wva on the belfry roster the one that killed pc are from belfry justin johnson has killed pc last 4 years not counting middle school and guess what a true belfry boy carr is also from belfry but before u think most are from wva u need to check if they are probable some wva kids on the team but no big impact on the overall team. i am going to be honest with u belfry was a football team with strong backfield but mediokra off line that they threw together.if it wasn.t for the backfield and that monster on def hayden hatfield belfry was beatable :flame:

Better be real careful here. Justin Johnson didn't always live in Pike County.

Hearing Bryson Patton left to go to pikeville, can anyone confirm this?
If so it's a huge loss to the hawks.

It's true, definitely agree a huge loss for us.
#72
So who steps up and takes that positron on the OL/DL?
#73
I'm not sure, now with his exit means we only have 2 returning starters on the OL.

Bryson is a great kid, Pikeville got a great player, he'll do great for them.

Not our fault that we live one mile from WV and would rather have their kid play for the nations top coach instead of a pedophile. Hell we killed ya when you guy brought all the Breathitt county boys over face it you mascot name should be the Pike Central BB's (Belfry's Bit*h):biglmao:

Sorry but its impossible to win a championship with a mediocre line and a monster backfield..our Oline which yes my boy played opened up a lot of holes for those backs...and if X willis wouldnt
Have blown out his knee he would have took JJ spot. JJ is a good boy but you his father was his #1 problem. You think he is all world and the only one out there that can play. Well you found out quick mr bojangles. So where did he sign to play college ball?
#77
Pirate let's face it pike central will never beat belfry because: 1. There is no sense of community and not as much support. 2. Where would you rather play? On a turf field with a million dollar facility or on buckleys creek where the football team shares the field with a softball team. 3. Program tradition vs. a program that has been to the regional finals twice in school history. I could keep going but I don't feel like writing that much. In my opinion bringing the coaches from Breathitt County made the program better but it takes more than two men to build a football program. You have to have the support from the community and as i stated there isn't one. My boy will be going to Belfry because of all of this. But I'm not going to knock a program that hasn't had much success. Central will be better but until they get the facilities and the support like belfry then no one will come there. They will go to pikeville. That's just my opinion.

He's a schmuck. I get sick of seeing that idiot even attempt to spell. I'm glad you called him on that BS because I get tired of him running that pole smoker too.

Next win will be #100 in school history.

BTW, I'm doing a project and if anyone has our school results from the '93 thru '97 years that would be spectacular.

I know the records, but I really need to know who we played those years. (Scores don't matter...just win/loss)

Well move away from WVA, no one else wants to live their either. That explains all the WVA license plates.....LOL.

:biglmao:So they just cross the river to the holy mecca of belfry.....LOL. And the national coaching bit, we all know campaigning that went into that, even in the classrooms.

Wasn't John Paul's 2010 season forfeited?

No, I don't believe so.

I think we just had suspensions out of that and no forfeits.

I have no idea. Haha.

The KHSAA scoreboard still shows all of PC's results. That tells me they did not have to forfeit any wins.

Every team who has forfeited previously has had it reflect on the scoreboard.

That is maintained by the school. Something John Paul probably didn't want to do anyway. Looks like after researching, all 2010 wins were officially vacated.
