Van Hagar Wrote:Having seen both teams play, no way does Perry Central go on the road and beat Pulaski next week. The best they can hope for is to keep it reasonably respectable (20 points or less). Forget this who have they played crap, Pulaski is really good, especially on the offensive side of the ball. The regional championship game between them and Harlan Co. (who will beat Madison Southern Friday) could be one for the ages. Like the guy said it's fine to back your team, which I am going to do now by saying if Blair and our best offensive tackle hadn't gotten hurt on the fifth play of the game, we win last night going away. Nelson was no more than 50%, and he nearly led a comeback, but we turned it over too many times and didn't deserve to win. But it we had, even healthy, we would have gotten spanked at PC this week. Trust me, they are good.
Yep, he nearly led a comeback except for throwing three picks in the 2nd half!

He is the tuffest kid I ever saw play the game in this area - but a broke bone is a broke bone, you aren't going to do anything on that! Like someone said, you were playing NL's JV team for the most part except for Nelson after the half. You all will see who gets their hindends handed to them next week end!
Maybe they will but the perry kids will still be on the field next week....

The thing about RIUTG is he says a lot of things just to get a rise out of folks. Unfortunately there is usually a lot of truth in what he says, and us never winning a playoff game is a very sore point with me. A school our size with our facilities should have at least some history of success. Not a knock on Larkey and his staff, he has done a really nice job because when he got here we were pretty much where South Laurel was after last year. He has built us into at least a respectable program. But we have to take that next step. The next four years, just based on what we have returning, should all be promising, (next year will probably be the most iffy of those). But PC is winning this district for the next two years, Southern has at least one more good year, South seems to have found a good young coach who had his team improving, Southwestern won't have too many years like this one, and Lincoln seems to always be competitive. So it's not going to be easy.
Oh, and Calvin enjoy your last week of relevance. Stop in at Cheddar's on your way to Somerset Friday, at least you'll have that to remembèr. You're not gonna be too happy with the football game.

Van come on please stop being so dang jealous of Perry Central. They are a lot like North Laurel. They have never had much of a history. Your stud running back got hurt and you lost. That's just the way football works. We both know Pulaski isn't that good and we all know that Kentucky Football is so watered down that any team worth 2 cents will be in the top 10. Pulaski is an above average team and that's about it. Yep they are favored to beat Perry Central but big deal. Perry could upset them. Pulaski is undefeated by haven't beaten anyone. North Laurel hasn't beaten any powerhouses all year either. And I will be sure to stop at Chedders and enjoy me a meal. Van you can come over and set with us on Perrys side. Since you cant beat us, you might as well join us. Go Dores.

But I will say this, Micheal Nelson is one of the fastest kids I had saw in a long long time. To bad your coach didn't run an offense centered around him. Looked like he had a real nice arm to when he actually had time to throw. Your coach cheering as loud as he could on top of our press box was just so bush league. Come on, give the coach some Ritalin or something to calm him down or turn his hearing aid up. He was screaming. Wonder he didn't get thrown off the top of the bleachers.

Facts are facts and fact of this matter is they have never won a playoff game. Nothing wrong with posting facts IMO. Sometimes the truth just hurts.

Perry Central is probably the most improved team in the state from game one until the playoffs. Hats off to their players and coaching staff.

I might rub it in a lot to certain teams, but ive never said anything thats not true. Sure, ive been wrong on predictions, but ive never said something bad about a teams history if it not true.
Larkey had a chance this year. Had PC and MS not had unbelieveable years, and Blair wouldnt have got hurt, than NL would have done better, much better. North has just been unlucky.

No big deal. I didn't take it as a knock on Pulaski. It was just an oversight on my part.
