#2

#3
They are all eligible dah this is the KHSAA we are dealing with right?
#4
Well who is eligible at the beginning of the season. We know they may clear everyone around 2nd semester. Is all Rods Recruits eligble now is the question?
#5
Cunningham, catchings, otriz, and chapman are all eligible. Cunningham just a couple of hours ago. Keita an eighth grader is automatically eligible. Frimpong becomes eligible Nov. 20 and Lucein Dec. 2. Still waiting on word from khsaa on Hines.

Why is there a hold up on Hines? The specifics you have shared is appreciated.

The stupid KHSAA needs to stop playing games with Hines and release him just like they do everyone else. He is a stud and thats why he hasnt been released yet. Done the same thing with Justin Johnson. Makes me sick that they run things like a dictatorship up there in Lexington. Rules only apply to certain people. Makes me sick. Stop messing with a kids future guys and release him and let him play ball.

With the team eligible does anybody think they can make a run at the All A State Title?
#11
I think with all the new and very talented players in this region their will be alot of pressure on the coaches not only to win this region, for Cordia the all A and the regular region, but the three teams(Cordia,Knott and Perry) that everyone is talking about to contend for a state title and if they don't their could be some coaches looking for work. If either of these teams slip up and don't make it to the region and the sweet 16 with the talent they have the whole coaching staff should be let go, you have D-1 players playing against for the most part average high school players. What does everyone think.

I say let them all play but make Cordia become a prep school. I have no problem with Rhodes building a powerhouse in Lots Crk but I do have a problem with them competing against regular high schools. Cordia is obviously recruiting these kids there for they are becoming a prep school. It would be different if they brought in a couple kids but my gosh they are bringing in several high school kids and even middle school players ranked nationally. KHSAA prohibits recruiting and no one can convince me these kids arent being recruited.

What your saying is recruiting is o k as long as Cordia does not do it.

How do you read my post and make that statement. I dont care who it is. If you are bringing in 10-12 kids a year you have became a prep school. Schools for years have brought in a player or 2 each year but you dont see schools bring in a whole new team. If this was Knott or Perry bringing in this many kids people would be on hear hammering them but everybody just thinks its ok because its poor little Cordia because they have been a door mat for years.

^It doesn't work at schools like kcc, pcc, or hhs. To many moms and dads involved. Recruiting is recruiting i don't care if its one kid from the county over or 20 from California. I say do it big or don't do it at all.

There is no difference in bringing in 2 and 4(which is the actual number Cordia has this year not 20). So, if Cordia just brought in Cunningham and Hines, you would be ok with it. But since they brought in 1 or 2 more, oh no that is too many. Come on man!!

I say don't do it at all. All these Cordia newbies think that they are the only ones who has been criticized for recruiting. The problem is that most of them are members of the bandwagon brigade who has just started posting in the Roderick Rhodes era. Ask the Hazard posters if I have been critical of them for recruiting. They will say yes. Ask Zaga fan and some of the other PCC posters have I been critical of them especially the transfer from upstate New York a couple of years ago and the mass entry of players that Randy Napier received a few years ago. They will say yes. Ask East Ridge fans if I was critical of them of the transfers they received from Canada a few years ago. They will say yes. Ask the Pikeville and Belfry fans about the comments I have made about their recruiting practices in the past and present in regards to football. They will probably have not nice things to say about me. So all you Cordia fans who play the victims card and feel like you are the only ones who have been ostracized for recruiting, you need to do your homework.

Im not going ti argue about it on here. All Im going to say is when Rod Rhodes finally gets a bigger job and leaves Lotts Crk , I dont wanna hear Cordia followers crying because all these kids left with Rhodes and the school cant field a ball team because your running off all the local kids.

I see what you're saying and I agree with you to a large degree, but this has been going on for as far back as I can remember in other parts if the state, it's just that it's caught on more and more in the mountain counties over the last decade. If you want to see this at a even higher rate travel to Jefferson County and see how they use their "open enrollment policy" to recruit players from all over Jefferson, a county with around 700,000 population. Talk about an advantage! It's little wonder that the same schools in that county are the ones that are always powerful in basketball, football, and baseball. The best talent in the county migrates to the popular schools every year. 700,000 is a nice base for recruiting behind the guise of open enrollment.
