Andrew Harrison was out for the game...the glue that holds this team together. UK wasn't out to embarrass Anyone. This is going to be a special team

Everyone else.
To be honest, our youth really showed tonight. Some players arent that good, and some players are better than expected. Our biggest strength has to be our depth. We can go deeper than anyone in the country IMO, but we really have to evaluate things. Im happy Cauley-Stein stayed because Johnson is just not a star. He doesnt have that smoothe rythym yet, but he can if he gets leaner.
I really hope the Harrisons arent babies and amount to the same amount of personality that Harrow did. That would end us.
Randle plays hard, but IMO his best attribute is his passing skills. Hes a very unselfish player.
I still believe James Young is the best player on this team. Before the years over, he could be the number one pick.

âRelax, all right? Donât try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, theyâre fascist. Throw some ground balls â itâs more democratic.â

Harrison Twins are 6'5" talented guys both are over 200lbs, Harrow was a skinny little "Nut job" who was over rated by scouts coming out of HS! I like Johnson's hands and he seems to have a nose for the Ball. In the past 2 games Randle has shown everything! He has hit the 3, hit the pull up jumper, FINSHED, rebounded and passed the basketball well. If Cal coaches this team as well as he did the 2011 and 2012 teams they will win the national title easy. What will determine how good this team is, is how well they rebound and defend! If Cal try's to get to fancy he could really screw this team up! I hope he ditches the Dribble drive like he did in late 2011, that's the season he started running Rupp's old "Guard Around" offense for Brandon Knight with all the dribble hand-offs and Knight and Lamb took UK a long way that season!

Dakari is not going to be the lean, athletic big. He is a beast, DeMarcus Cousins-like player down low. He is a scorer down low, where Willie is everything but that.
Dakari and Willie are very different players and that only works in UK's favor in my opinion.

I think Dakari will facor Orton a lot more than Cousins.
Cousins was 10X the player Johnson ever will be. Thats a given. Cousins was the best big frosh ive ever seen play the game that young.

No way. Orton was way more athletic and much more of a shot blocking presence while Dakari is an offensive scoring threat (like Cousins) who seems to a much better rebounder (like Cousins). Johnson is 7'0'' 265 (365 according to Dave Baker) and not nearly as quick with his feet.
While Dakari may/will never be Cousins, he will resemble Cousins more than any other player we have seen in the Cal era.

Brian Lane, Transy's coach, said he had played UK the last 3 years and this could be the best team yet. This team will have some growing pains but have the combination of players needed to win a national championship. Johnson is not Cousins but he is a big who can put the ball in the hole. The twins are big guards with a nasty side to them who will make life tough on opposing guards. Randle and Young will be special. Lee is a phenominal athlete who needs to gain a little weight and develop his skills but will provide invaluable depth this year. Hopefully Willie Cauley Stein and Poythress live up to their potential and plat with a chip on their shoulder after last years disappointments. Every one of the players mentioned will be first round picks when they leave UK. Willis has the potential to get drafted also. Hawkins would be the highlight of a lot of schools recruiting class. Willis is Wiltjer with athleticism. If this bunch can mesh together they will be a very special team in UK lore.

RunItUpTheGut Wrote:^Don't forget Davis was a freshmen in 2012! IMO Davis had a better Freshmen year than Cousins. IMO I think by the end of the season Johnson will be starting at the Center spot because he has the post moves and touch to score down low, forcing teams to do something to stop him thus freeing up other people for shots. What worries me the most about this season's UK team is not the players but CAL! In 2012 Cal didn't have as many player to play thus it was pretty simple as far as the line up goes. He pretty much put his defensive team on the floor and beat people that way. It will be interesting to see how he will play things this season.
