Handshakes After Games
#1
I just wondered how everyones games went last night after all the talk about the handshakes this week from KHSAA?? The Lincoln Co team and Jags showed a lot of class last night!! Handshake and prayer after the game!! Congrats to both coaches and teams for stepping up!!

We had handshakes as well, no disrespect from Harlan County or Letcher County Central, as far as I could tell. Immediately after the handshake, both teams took a knee at the 50 for trophy presentation. It was our "Friends of Coal Bowl".
#3
Betsy Layne and Leslie Co had handshake and then prayer at center field.
#4
Pike Central & Lawrence Co. indeed shook hands.

I think all teams should have done it if any didn't shame on the schools and coaches for not.
#6
Dixie Heights and Campbell County shook hands post game....WITHOUT ISSUE as always this season!

Estill County and Hills shook hands after the game.

I think they all should have and maybe even staged arguments for khsaa. Then say go ahead and fine us. That is since one of our state legislators has already said they have no legal grounds to fine anyone.

Unfortunately, Knott Co Central did not shake hands after the game with Morgan County on Friday night. Not sure if this was a school decision or who made the decision, but Morgan's team and coaches still had their pre-game prayer and post game prayer as always... Very classy and respectable. Not knocking any coaches or players from Knott Co.. I am sure they were just doing what they were told.

This does not make sense to me. This is good sportsmanship and respectful that should be continued always

Pulaski County and Madison Southern had a hard fought game and then shook hands with no incidents. Over reaction by everyone on this thread IMO!! The KHSAA is about on the same level as the federal goverment. :dudecomeon:

one time i got headbut in the line after a game....... i had my helmet on tho but the othe rguy didnt. i think he lost that xchange but i still wonder why he did tat...

don't everyone does it. I know they don't at state, only because most of the time the team that won, is in a pal up. most of the time the other team don't want to stop it to shakes hands.

Let 'em shake. There are very few incidents that happen during post-game "handshakes"....especially if the coaches are monitoring the line. If you are/have been a player or coach, you know there's not much sincerity from either side when they slap hands saying "good game, good game"....not even looking at the opponent. Much ado about nothing, imo.
