Coal Grove, OH 30 Lawrence County 6
#1
Final
#2
Definately suprised by this score. I never thought that it would be such a lopsided game. LC is in trouble and needs to find there identity as a team.
#3
I'm really surprised with this score !

The LC football program is in a lot of trouble and there is no help in sight. Sad times in Louisa.

Like I said you lose to Montgomery County you have problems. MAJOR PROBLEMS and we do. At least they held them to 6 points in the second half. LC was down to the 10 at least two different times and couldn't put the ball in the endzone. In the 3rd QTR while still only down 18 they made had a 1st and Goal from the 2 from the TWO and couldn't score. TERRIBLE!

This is true LC had thier chances to score but what we have to look at is by this time in the game LC had lost 3 starter's from thier back field . They lost Coty Roberts yearly in the game than Mark Fitzpatrick went down yearly in the 3rd and then I saw Robert Buther on the side lines in a lot of pain in the middle of the 4th.But still being on the 2 yard line you would think with four try's we could have scored but you have to give coal grove some credit here . We all so held them on thier own 2 yard line in the 3rd. So now back to the drawing board the season is young and I for one still and will support my Dawg Family and by that I mean the kids the coaches the helpers and any one else involved in this program . I hope that the 3 young men here that got hurt will be OK I know Buther is a senior and I hate to see a senior go down this is thier last season Coty and Mark all ways has next year if it is that bad which I really don't think it is. . Good luck to Coal Grove the rest of the season you all have a very VERY good looking team and should do well .

I am going to say it and mroe than likely will get called out on it but changes need to be made on the coaching staff and I dont mean the head coach.

What I hate is all the so called Lawrence Co supporters who get on here and dont even support there own team. They have no clue as to what is going on. Coty went back in and tried to play in the 2nd half but was just into to much pain.

Its time to regroup and get ready for our home opener against Belfry!!!

I think everyone on here that says they're for LC supports the team. Hope the kids recover fast we're going to need them.

My question is not so much on the offensive side of the ball but the defensive. Everyone said that this defense was tough and would keep them in alot of there games but right now they are letting teams score and average of 36pts a game. Did the whole backfield get whipped out in this game and where any of the injuries serious?

Coty's injurie was on his left should how bad I don't know Marks got a concusion and they was working on Roberts leg or foot . As far as the defense goes well we just got beat . Hats off to Coal Grove they was a big physicial team thier running backs was as big as you would want in the back field but are kids never backed down one time even though they was given up a lot of size they still was hitting them with all they had . And Im sure the kids from CG would tell you the same. It was a good clean game from what I could see of it . And I think are boys are going to see alot more of it this comeing week from Belfry because I know they like to pound the ball up the middle and right now thats what's hurting us and I know Belfry will be out to make a statement after loseing to Ashland last night it might not be the best time to play them but then agian maybe it will . I'm looking forward to see them they have all ways been a class acked.

As you say pounding the ball up is what has killed LC so far and if you look at the rest of the schedule we had better get better or the final record could be very ugly.

Guys the football program is fine, we are going threw some growing pains. Its like it has been said all along that we were about 4 - 5 years away from being the LC of old. and its only been three years and I can see a big change in the team from the last two years. Yes there are some issues that will be taken care of this week. As far as time for a change in the staff the staff cant get out there and play. If the kids dont listen to coaches then there isnt much you can do. Its not from lack of effort or heart because they left it on the field last night. They will be ok its time to buckle down and see how bad they want to turn this season around. If the kids out there cant get it done I am sure they will find some who will fill in.

And on a side note when I was talking about the supporters from LC yea we have supporters but when things go bad they tend to want to complain alot and not stand behind the coaching staff and what they do. I will tell you they have these kids ready for every thing the other team runs and make adjustment on the fly.

You know we are so use to have teams that put up 40 to 50 points a game and Defense that could put up big numbers. The kids now days are just not as big and it takes alot of heart for them to get out there and give there 100% week end and week out. But I see a bright outlook for this years team and the teams to come. The coaches work as hard as any I have seen and the kids work just that much harder, and in closing lets get ready for a large game friday night and come out and support your team and community.

I agree it could get ugly but I still have faith in this young team I know we have some great kids this year and I think the coaches will move some around to were we will see some improvements. I still feel like we can make the play offs . But are boys can't do it alone they got to have support from the fans thier parents and the community we have to believe in them as much as they have to believe in them selfs . If people don't think the coaches are doing thier job then just bite your tounge for a while because all that matters is that are kids have to believe in them because we are in the middle of the season and these are the only ones we have at least untill the off season Now so bite your tounge untill the season is over please . I personaly see each day how hard the kids and the COACHES work for this team I see them every day of the week out thier teaching them and I see them on the week ends studing film trying to make a good game plan for are next game I know coach Cecil has two very small kids that he would rather be spending a lot more time with but he's out thier with are kids trying to make them better ball player's and most of all better human being's . Most people don't think about the scrafices the coaches make for the kids . They just like to have somebody to lay the blame on . :devilflam

I think we're right about at the level that I expected coming into the season. As we discussed in the past I feel this team getting better by the end of the season but LC not being back to past levels until at least next year or the year after.

I agree with your post but at the same time we can't have rose colored glasses or be homers every week.

Fact is we're still down and if we continue to improve we're going to be a good program again but it will take time.

What most people dont realize at least on three or four different time last night we had as many as three or four freshman on the field. or Kids that hardly ever get into games, but they got put in and made the most of it and did fine four there size going up against a lot bigger team.

And that will only make us better in the long run. LC will be fine especially after the class changes next year.

If you are a true fan and noticed in the begining of the 3rd quarter on DEFENCE #56 Ben Preston (freshman)#55 Terance Hunt(Sophmore)#65 Chris Kazee(Freshman) Lucas Frasher(Freshman) all went into the game. Their are several other Freshman and Sophmores ready to play. So our future looks EXTREMLY bright. Also our punter#6 Shane Pack(Freshman). We only have aprox. 12 Jr. & Sr.
Our Coching staff loves these kids and want them to be the best. Instead of putting the blame on the coaches all the time the parents need to ask their kid do you think you did a good job tonight? or What could you have done different to make your self better?
