CovCath 21 Dixie 13
#1
COV CATH stops Dixie on the 5 yard line on last play of game. Big news is it sounds like CovCath will lose both starting QB and RB for an extended time. RB with broken collar bone and QB with torn knee ligaments. These injuries have not been confirmed, hope for the best for these young men!

^ Wow, tough win when you lose so much to injury

Congrats to CCH, hope the injuries are not serious.

Dixie put themselves in a position to win and just couldn't pull the trigger. Covcaths defense bent, but didn't break and deserve a lot of credit. DB, Way, for Covcath had three INTs on the night. Two of which were in the end zone.

A second the thoughts on the injured players and wish you well in your recoveries. A big tip of the hat to Dixie and their head coach. They have a very solid football team and should improve on last years 3-8 record.

Dixie is definitely a team to keep an eye on for this year. I really like Moore at QB

Exciting game to watch as both teams played to the end.

How is CovCath's back-up quarterback and running back?

Will there be a huge drop-off, not huge but noticeable, small drop-off, or no drop-off?

Can they still be anywhere near as good?

Losing Bir (RB/also plays D) is a huge lose, he is leader and top player. Losing QB is going to change their offense to more of run first. I think you are going to see a big drop off. There was a whole lot of talk by CovCath fans about how good that QB was going to be. Does not help that they are going to be thumped by Cincy Moller this week. They are going to have to hope to hang on next 6 weeks and hope to get healthy for end of season.

Hate to see injuries derail a promising season. Hopefully they will have quick recoveries.

Bir did not play defense. No CCH players go both ways.
Will be a monumental task playing Moeller this week no doubt. Praying for no injuries and to learn something about the teams intestinal fortitude.
Sam Dressman is a stud though. Darlington will be the RB. They will have to manufacture ways to get the ball into other playmakers hands like Hatter, Braun etc.
