How many sacks and tackles for loss did Elam have?

I knew when we beat St X in the 7 on 7 then beat 6a Meade Co handily in our scrimmage that this could be a special team. We were better than JH. We were more disciplined and in better shape. We left 2 scoring opportunities on the table. So it should have been worse. Elam, honestly looked slow, hands were on his hips, and he never ran all night. He never attacks. He reacts. As a Cardinal fan. I hope he goes to UK. lol

Dylan Byrd had 19 carries for 83 yards and a touchdown as DeSales snapped John Hardin's 43-game regular-season winning streak 25-20 in the Swope Family of Dealerships Bowl at Central Hardin High School on Friday.
"We played as a team," Colts coach Harold Davis said. "Our defense stepped up at times throughout the game and made plays."
Byrd's 5-yard run with about five minutes to play gave DeSales the lead for good.
DaQuan Deville had 13 carries for 78 yards and a touchdown for the Bulldogs (1-1).

Hell of a win for DeSales. Hardin had the ball moving it under a min to go but fumbled it away to seal the deal for DeSales. Great win.

No, JH was picked behind Bowling Green to win 5A. They still have top prospect in the state Matt Elam too.

Why is this HUGE win getting so little chatter ?

Because there are many EKY posters that really do not care about teams outside the mountains. Impressive and shocking win for Desales.

They are down from a typical John Hardin team. They lost a lot of really good football players, several of which who are playing on Saturdays now. Besides this there are a lot of holes/weaknesses this year they have not had in the past. But yes, they are still going to be there at the end and will probably face Bowling Green in the State Semi-Finals again this year. But they are going to take their lumps before getting to that point. Highlands and PRP will give them a lot of trouble before district play.

A top rated 5A team getting beat by a 2A team that was not even being talked about much is embarrassing. Highlands is going to roll all over them and if BG is as good as posters on here want to make them out to be, they too roll all over them. BG has no competition in 5A.

This makes 5A look much worse than we already knew it was.
Almost every major poll, including ours, had JH picked 2nd in the state behind Bowling Green.
That will definitely change now, but i dont think ANYBODY seen this coming.
Congrats to Desales.

Well I thought COVCATH was going to be a good game but with the terrible news this week of starters with injuries, I do not think 4A will be much of a challenge for Highlands.

Highlands has no competetion in 4A as well.
1A, 4A, 5A, and 6A are already decided like they have been for years.

Looks like Desales has something to say about the 2A title.
Congrats Colts!! Nice win.

Great win for Desales. This type game will make both teams better.

Don't know anything about Desales football but I know I saw them play basketball this summer and they were one of the most impressive teams I have seen in a long time. Very well coached and fundamental. If same kids play football I'm not surprised they are good.

2A is always one of the more wide open classes. Desales is a serious contender.
