South Point,OH @ Johson Central

What is everyone's thought on this one because JC's only weakness on defense is their secondary and South has a top 15 QB in Smith who has verbaled to Marshall???

If JC can keep pressure on the QB and cause him to scramble all night I like their chances. But if the D line slacks, and gives this kid a chance to locate a reciever or find a seam in their Defense then South Point will take this one. The kid has legit 4.4 speed, which is a lot faster than they will see probably the rest of the season, and may remind you all of Ron Blume, but 6'4 200. Very elusive and strong armed kid.

WOW No wonder he is going to Marshall. This kid has D-1 written all over him.

Chris Smith from South Point is just an amazing ball player. I don't know enough about the rest of their team though. Johnson Central should be able to take this home though.

This kid is a solid QB but does not have 4.4 speed. Rivals.com has him at 6'4" 245 and runs a 4.65/40. The kid definately has a arm but i believe that JC will want to keep him inside the pocket and not allow him to use his speed and scramble. Many say that Smith doesnt have much of a supporting cast. I guess that Ill just have to wait til Friday and find out.

Trust me he does have a supporting cast.

I've seen his clips on Rivals, he may not run the legit 4.4 forty, but when he is in action and the way he leaves people in the dust you'd think he did. I think we are on the same page there kyayaker about the pressure JC must apply to keep this kids skills at a minimum. I'd blitz all night, have my ends coming hard off the edge, maybe mix in a CB blitz here or there to small side of the field because normally a QB is going to look for the most open space for something to possibly happen.

It will be a very exciting game Friday night!!!

With Johnson Centrals D-line i think they will probably be able to put enough pressure on him to keep him rattled. For me the keys would be to limit the amount of blitzing by the Linebackers cause if he was to break through that line of defense with his speed there is going to be alot of huge gains. The other key is to make sure that the Defensive Ends dont get sucked down inside and allow him to have the outside edge. If the D-Ends turn the plays up inside to Johnson and Tackett i dont see JC having to much trouble with this kid.

South Point will have the O line pumped and ready but I still feel JC will come away with the W
