How will this years draft be remembered in 10 years
#1
Granted, this was not a deeply talented draft, but as I watched it I could not help bu shake my head. Typically, the first five picks generates at least 3 All-NBA players, and I could almost say that there will be no All NBA players in this group.

Were there any shockers, probably not due to the talent level, but when you have a chance to change your team for the future, I think all five of the top picks will go down in flames, with the biggest stars coming in the 7th (McLemore) & 9th (Burke) picks.

Were all five teams at the top as bad as Detroit in 2003? Probably not, but 2003 sure came to mind as I watched this draft.

2003 Hall of Famers
1) Lebron
3) Carmello
4) Bosh
5) Wade

I think there will be several players in this years draft that have long NBA careers...
but I don't know that there are any superstars in this draft.

Only time will tell...
but I see this draft as a good draft for role players.

I figure the Sixers will win seven, maybe 8 titles in the next ten years Big Grin

I fully believe this will be worst draft class of the past ten, maybe twenty years.
#6
Mclemore best player in the draft hands down.
#7
It was a very, very weak draft but I do see players like Bennett, Noel (If stays health) and McLemore having great careers.

Weak draft without a doubt. I felt that it was a big draft for teams to pick up role players. The only players with a shot at being a star are McLemore and Burke. Burke could be a good PG for a team in the future.

Cleveland picking Bennet first was a shocker. That would make for a good trivia question in 20 years or 20 days. Who was the first draft pick in 2013? I thought the sixers benifited most from this draft though.

Thanks for making me relive the most idiotic draft pick im my teams history.

My mouth was watering with Carmello, Bosh, and Wade. Then of course the rest is history. :ChairHit:

I think a couple of guys from this group will be pretty good. I can see Alex Len having a solid NBA career. Just hope Anthony Bennett lives up to what he can do, if you've watched him since HS the dude is a stud. Sergey Karasev is pretty good too.

Ive watched Bennet and can see hin being a top pick ib a class this weak. But you have to admit it was a shocker to you too

Sort of. I didn't expect it but I knew Bennett was a quality, even #1 pick quality player. I just felt like we'd go Center or SF... and in reality I think the team plans to put Bennett as an SF or trade Thompson long term. We'll see.

The Kings grabbed the only player with star potential.

^ But they could not help themselves and started unloading others. Looks like Boogie is next

Cleveland picking Bennett is such a Cavs move. I just don't see it.
Noel will make teams regret passing him up.
Trey Burke might wind up being the best player in this draft.

Like to see Boogie in Celtic green with Rondo. Honestly would love to see him cut the crap and reach his potential. Could be an absolute monster for years to come if he chooses to be.

Should judge the young man Bennet, but IMO think he's gonna have weight and off court issues. Hope I'm wrong, know he had a very difficult upbringing.

This draft will be forgotten quickly, next years should be a good class though!
