Cal rejects Maui invite
#2
Fine with me.
#3
He said he would do it if they moved the Maui to Lexington.

They declined.

He then said "They're scared to play us"

He also said it could be at memorial instead of Rupp so it would be the same atmosphere as Maui.

They declined because of fear.
#5
Not surprised, a lot of coaches are the same way, and for good reason.

This coming from the team that schedules a full schedule of hazard community and technical college.

This is overdue...
but Gonzaga won the Maui Invitational a while back.

This was a nobrainer move. Doesn't help recruiting what so ever,, is 15 time zones away,, hazard high school size gym,, is not that important of a tourney,, players don't really like it due to jet lag,, and most importantly,, if UK is going to play in a tournament it will be big enough to accommodate more than 100 fans being able to attend.

Mix1...

Kentucky basketball is a fan base program with a large following, the gym in Hawaii, will not hold the whole Ky team and coaches....
