one hell of a game! it went back and forth with momentum changes and both teams taking leads late. lawrence takes a 4-3 lead going in to 7th inning and huntington puts together a rally to tie it. lawrence had opportunities in the bottom of the 7th and 8th innings to plate a run but just hit the ball right at huntington players. huntington is a top 5 AAA team in west virginia and a very solid ball club.
freshman austin bailey pitched great tonight, as did sophomore eric salyers and senior brandon stevens. tomorrow is a big matchup between lawrence and johnson central. i figure lawrence will throw either wallen or kingsmore tomorrow. not sure who jc will throw.

âRelax, all right? Donât try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, theyâre fascist. Throw some ground balls â itâs more democratic.â

LC had their hands full last night with Huntington, WV. Both clubs was solid through 9 innings but the WV bats was to much in the end. Solid hitting and fielding from #5 Turner at 2nd. base. Pitching on both sides seemed pretty good, but errors at key times did not help the Dawgs. Keep your heads up and use this as a building block.
