90% finalized that the 'Birds will be playing University Christian H.S. from Jacksonville Florida. I heard that they contacted Dale (who was looking for a last game due to discontinuation of Ryle and Boyle) They captured the Florida 2A title last year. The game will be in Ft Thomas pending approval from KHSAA and Florda's equivalent.

I would have liked to of seen a BG/Highlands matchup, but im always happy when a team ventures far out of state to pick up a really good opponent. It makes our state better in the ling run when we win.

I hope this is an ESPN game.

Highlands is a good choice to give our state some national profile, combined with Trinity games like these can only help improve our football reputation!

So what happened to PC?
I like the John Hardin addition, that is an up and coming program at worst.
The PT game reminds me of the ole Duffy years.

pendleton county. I thought they were in the same division with highlands, cov cath, holmes and henderson co? did they drop a class?

They became "independent". While still playing football, they are not in a district and will not be playing in playoffs.

Henderson is a 6A school. Matter of fact, yearly one of the Top 5 biggest in the state; right around 2,000 kids.
.....or, were you thinking Harrison, but typed Henderson?
^^^If so, refer to what was said about Pendleton becoming independent/dropping out of district play (which, I think is a great idea and I don't understand why more programs like Pendleton don't do this, but that's for another discussion).
