So what does everyone think about the New Sex offender Law.
#1
The law makes it illegal for convicted sex offenders to live within a 1,000 feet of a park, school, or daycare.

Officers say on daily basis they'll check various zip codes making sure offenders are in compliance with the new rule.

Convicted sex offenders have a 90 grace period after the law goes into effect to move if they need to.

The law takes effect July 1st.

Myself they will never be able to do enough to protect our kids. They should have made this part of the law a long time ago.

I like the new rule... a lot will be repeat offenders so they need to be kept far away from kids

I agree! They should have done this a long time ago!

Yep I like it, Should have been done years ago.

I'm really glad. Hopefully this is a small step that will provide some protection for our children.

Me either, because what stops them from driving over to a schoolyard? They need to make it that they can't be within that distance regardless of where they live.

That's what I was thinking. Most of these people probably don't live close to these places anyways. They drive to that destination. I think it's a pointless law personally.

I wouldn't call it pointless because it might limit the number of them around. But I do think that it is pointless to stopping the non-determined ones, which just about all of them are determined, but it could stop a few

Listen to what I heard today........ If you get caught peeing in public, you get put on the sex offender list, I don't know if that qualifies you for this law, but how dumb is that? Say you're tailgating at a Bengals game, you're 5 to 8 beers deep (and that's for a person with a big bladder), you're not going to sit in a 45 minute line, so it's either a. wait in line (if you've had even a few beers, you can't wait), or b-1) wear a diaper b-2) forget the diaper and just let it ride in your shorts, or c) find a private corner to pee in and take your chances of not having to move to not be within a certain area of those places

C. Yes that's my final answer.

Bfritz if that is true I have broke it several times and HOW could they possibly put you on the sex offenders list for that if no one is around?

Obviously someone would have to see. But, like I've broken it several times too, I've come out of bars and found the corner of a parking lot or an alley. I do see your point of like if there's nobody around or you're not just pulling it out in front of someone and peeing then what's the problem
