Gee I thought Letcher Central was going to get beat bad. Great game and effort by our young Cougars. 6 points is still a lose but a morale victory.

After a single digit first quarter I also thought the Cougs were in trouble.
However, they made a run and kept it respectable

Thought this would be a blowout. Way to stay tough LCC.

âRelax, all right? Donât try to strike everybody out. Strikeouts are boring! Besides that, theyâre fascist. Throw some ground balls â itâs more democratic.â

Hammonds needs to quit crying and whining over every call and turnover and start coaching his team in critical situations. He needs to watch film of his actions on the sidelines for a game. Throwing his arms in the air and making those awful faces after every bad pass or shot don't help a thing. He has a good bunch of kids who like each other and will give their all but if he don't change that won't last.

I think he done good enough to almost beat the#2 team in the mountains. We shall see in March!

If Hammonds stayed within 6 points of Perry...
then he coached a good game.
If his team gets better as the season goes on - he will do fine come tourney time.

LCC played a good game. Never quit after being down double digits a couple of times. Cody Gregory broke their defense down all night with his drives to the basket. He was too big and athletic for their guards. LCC will be in the hunt come March. Remember the regional will be on the Cougars home floor. Peace be among us. Brother Cecil.

Coach Hammonds is doing a really good job with his young. He is making a strong early case for 14th region coach of the year.

They were a lot closer than 6. Fouled a bunch of times at the end. Like it that Hammonds got td'ed up. After that the boys really picked it up.

^Have to say i ate my words on this one. LCC played a real solid game, and i honestly didn't know Perry was that small. They need Johnson bad. After watching Perry play i have to go back and agree with Ballers on a different topic. Cordia could beat PCC right now imo. But Congrats Dores, and Congrats LCC for the moral victory.

They had a pair of 6'5 twins the McClains, quit the day before this game which made them a lot smaller. One of them had been getting considerable playing time. This makes them a lot smaller. However there is a 6'5 sophmore who played last year rumored to be rejoining the team. They definitely need him. When Johnson starts playing size problem will be solved. But they still need the other kid for added depth especially against Hazard. The problem for them last night was the point guard for LCC breaking down their defense. I saw him do the same thing against Knott last year in the game at Hindman. Gregory is as good as any point guard in the region and he has size. Was also impressed by no. 20. I can't remember his name. All he needs is to hit the weights can jump out of the gym. Athletics build character. Brother Cecil.

There was a dunk last night after WYMT left that would have made UPike top 10 for sure.
