What To Expect: Simon Kenton and defending champion North Oldham did not meet and both went unbeaten against regional competition. They are the co-favorites, but the Pioneers will be going up against history. A local team hasn't won a match in this tournament since 2006.

Walton-Verona, ousted in the first round each of the past five years, lost in two sets to opening foe North Oldham at September's Cake Classic. Simon Kenton, in the Eighth Region event for the first time, did not play first-round opponent South Oldham.
