Newport Central Catholic 63, Lloyd Memorial 22
#1
Lloyd was riding pretty high and fairly confident after beating Holy Cross and getting to a 6-1 start. Today they went into Newport Stadium looking for the #1 seed and proof that they were one of the best teams in 2A.

Those goals started to fade away in the 1st quarter when NCC jumped out to a 20-3 lead. Then they quickly disappeared when NCC raced out to a 49-9 lead at halftime.

The win puts NCC in the driver seat for the #1 seed in the district, and Lloyd will most likely finish 2nd barring a loss to Newport and a Holy Cross win over NCC

And the 2A powerhouse is BACK!!!!!

that brutal out of district schedule is paying off
