williamsburgs D was just to fast for Cambellsville. Campbellsville played a good game though, the first half was a barn burner but after half time the jackets brought the pain and started laying some hard hits. After this the game did a 360 turn around and the jackets took it over.

Go defense

Expected this.

Williamsburg played very lethargic early. Found their stride at the 3 minute mark of the first half. Campbellsville played hard to the final horn but were over matched tonight.

I worked this game here in Campbellsville and it got out of hand in the 1st half as far the behavior of C-Ville players and Coaches. Being from Campbellsville I apologize for their behavior and we all do not act like that.

I am saying right here and now the Jackets will be playing in the Class A title game, I just watched Hazard lay a beat down on Harlan, but they can't stay with this talented team from the burg.

Brahma, no big deal. It is a frustrating year for your kids and coaches. They played hard but could not seem to get the big break tonight.

I don't think it was the coaches or players fault. The officials in this game reminded me of NFL replacement refs, They made many mistakes and almost lost control of the game because of them.

Another easy win for Wburg.

Williamsburg caused 6 or 7 turnovers last night, with at least 4 interceptions that I can remember. They also hit the quarterback hard a couple of times and caused a couple more turnovers. Campbellsville probably had negative yardage at the half, and Williamsburg looked very fast defensively. Offensively it took some time for Williamsburg to find it stride. The score was 21-0 at the half, but we had continues clock with 2 minutes to go in the third quarter. A lot of penalties called against the Jackets, but I believe we were guilty in most cases.

There were a lot of penalties last night against the burg, and I agree they earned most of them. There was a lot of offensive off side penalties in the game, and this is something Williamsburg will have to fix going forward.

I think the announcer said that C-Ville had 4 yards in the 1st half.

Williamsburg added a weapon as Brantley Patrick became eligible last night. He was 4 of 6 on extra points. It has been probably 25 years since Williamsburg kicked that many extra points in a season let alone one game. His twin brother Jefferson was all over the field tackling everything in sight. Their game went out to their father, Elmer who missed it due to illness. Former coach Bob Rose told a story about the last time he had a kicker at Williamsburg. He had lined up 3 times for a short field goal only to be penalized making it a 50 yard kick. The kid made the kick and Bob turned to the referee and told him you would have penalized me once more if you knew I had this kid. Get well Elmer.

Surprised Williamsburg only mustered up 21 points in the 1st half.

1st half was a mess. No flow due to confrontations between C-ville coaches and the officials. The Ref's lost control for a few minutes in the 1st half. Lots of unsportsmanlike penalties called.

Refs with thin skin. That was like blood to sharks. Williamsburg only had 8 points at the three minute mark of first half.

I work @ the local radio station (Production) and am not able to make many games. I get most my info from BGR, IHIGH, and by listening.

It seems to happen every time Cambellsville and Williamsburg square off. The Campbellsville coaches and players mouth off to the refs and the Williamsburg players and C'ville gets penalized for it. Sure, it's OK to be aggressive but this sort of stuff is called "unsportsmanlike conduct" for reason.
The refs even let some of the taunting go. As the refs were trying to untangle a pileup after a fumble, one of the refs was moving a C'ville player away from the pile and the player actually pushed the ref's hands away, not once but TWICE.
Are the refs supposed to let that happen? What message does it send to the kids? Now it's OK to touch a ref in an aggressive manner?

This was obviously not a well refereed game, but so few are these days that you have to go into the game expecting bad calls. The key is to overcome those calls and hope one doesn't cost you the game such as the call against Green Bay.

Congrats Williamsburg.

Sorry still think Hazard comes out of the East. Brutal schedule leads to district and playoff wins in 1a. Fairview has played one of the weakest schedules i have ever seen. So i guess i will get a better opinion of them when they play somebody ranked in the top 150 in the state. Dont know much about Williamsburg. Lot of team speed? Running or passing offense. Just trying to get a read on the competition in case somebody besides Hazard gets to the finals. Mayfield will get a tough challenge from Beechwood but they are rebuilding a bit. Frankfort will be a good game as they are tough offensive team but i think Mayfield has the better D. So give me the skinny on Williamsburg and why we should fear them if we both make it to state.

I think Hazard, Williamsburg, and Fairview all have a legit chance of getting to the state championship game. Williamsburg and Hazard play 5 more games before they play each other. Which team is healthy at that point in the season will play a big role in who wins. If each team is lucky enough to have everybody healthy going into these games, then look out we could have a real interesting game on our hands.

No love for Raceland? Just did a quick scan of their schedule and they handled Pikeville pretty well. Pikeville used to be a power in 1a what happend there?
