Paintsville came out on fire taking an 11-0 lead early in the game. Valley regrouped and had the lead at the end of 3rd quarter. Valley went up 8 with 2:30 to go but missed 7 of their last 8 freethrows and allowed Paintsville to get within 3 before the final horn. Rose hit some big shots late in the game.

Good to see Paintsville B -team get the win and the A-team played up to par this time around. This middle school team primarily consists of many 6th and 7th graders. Good luck to both teams the rest of the way. Good win for Valley and Coach Rowe.

Thanks Coach. Valley has no 8th graders and I think Paintsville just had a couple but the talent on both ends is pretty high. Paintsville has a very good backcourt.
