Has Covcath beaten Highlands on any level since 2006?
#1
I know the Covcath faithful are confident they're going to beat Highlands this year. These same guys have been playing against each other in freshmen, jv, and varsity games the last few years. Many of the games haven't been close. Has Covcath won any of them? I guess I'm having a hard time understanding where all this bravado is coming from on the Covcath side. Why is Covcath now thinking they're going to win? Is it because they won 3 games against bad teams with their lightweight schedule? Or is it because Highlands lined up 7 yards off the ball and let them dink and dunk and keep it close in the first meeting last year only to manhandle them in the playoffs? Covcath got a little fools gold last year the first game. I think Highlands reminds them of the Brossart era and lets them know theyre still the little sister again this year.

Dang it Wideleft, I was going to take a shot at Cov Cath tonight. But since you have already done so, I am going to agree. Cov Cath will be like a bowling ball this game. They will be picked up and thrown in the gutter. Process repeated until it's a 6 or 7 score game.

Tell me your thoughts on this lefty, you think it will be a running clock?

Seems like some folks have never heard the adage: the higher the monkey climbs the tree, the more he shows his butt.

Glad the wides are just fans and not Highlands players or coaches.

I concur. Some things, whether true or not, are better left unsaid.

If I'm not mistaken, CCH owns Highlands in just about every sport except football (And are competitive in that). You know how respected and feared another team is by insecure threads like this one here. CCH's diverse offense will score on the Birds. Highlands will score on them. I think the Birds will score more, but anything goes when these two meet up and I suspect the Colonels will throw the book at them in two weeks.

Cov Cath has had only 1 winning season since 2006 and 2 different coaches. You really want to thump your chest about that?Confusednicker:

Far be it for facts to every get into Lefty's way of making up completely fictitious comments!

All those cream puffs they played won't be close to the competition that highlands will bring. You are in for a rude awakening my wide friend.

I think it's a valid question. Has Covcath beat them on any level since 2006? I don't believe they have.
