Coach Scenters biggest loss to graduation will be Markell Hayes in my opinion. The also loose the running back (Wilson?) which won't help either. But, they have a lot of big senior linemen on this team and a returning two year starting quarterback in Abney. I'd say they will probably be pretty good this year if they can find a secondary replacement to fill the void left by Hayes. Good luck to Mark and his boys this next season.

They have a heck of a QB returning and some solid line play. Garrard is deserving of a Top 5 Pre-Season raking in 3A.

Like many have mentioned, I think the QB and the line returning will be enough to keep Garrard in the mix. Last year they gave Belfry all they wanted in the state semis. The only question marks I see with this team offensively is losing almost 3500 yards of rushing and 49 touchdowns between Markell Hayes and Cory Wilson. Also, Tyler McCoy will be missed offensively as well as defensively. I felt he was a great playmaker for Garrard. If they can fill those holes, I think they will be in a position to make some big noise in 3A again this year. Best of luck!

The 2 big blows that hurts this team is the loss of Hayes and Wilson like many of you have said. I do think Wilson was a better RB than Hayes was. Hayes was good on the sweeps and getting outside but Wilson took the ball and if you were in his way he'd run right over you and keep on truckin. District should be between Bourbon and Garrard. I have Bourbon winning it tho, they return too many weapons not to win it

Garrard will be interesting to watch this year. Returning O-line and D-Line. QB is a Senior
starting his 4th year. Hayes and Wilson were two outstanding running backs, but GC has
some good ones that were waiting in the wings. McCoy was a very good receiver, but
there were a couple more closely battling for position. GC looks really good right now on
paper. Let's see what they bring to the field....

Garrard did give Belfry a fight, and they should be a top five preseason team.Belfry was lucky to win that game, and in my opinion Garrard was the best team Belfry played last season.Take away a few mistakes they made in the game they could very well have won a state title.Very classy team and fans would love to see yall at cam this year.:welcome:
