The University of Kentucky does not have a signee playing in Friday night's Derby Festival Basketball Classic, but there is one recruit for Cats fans to keep an eye on.
Amile Jefferson, a 6-foot-9 forward from Philadelphia, is the only player in the game who has not committed to a school.
He lists Kentucky, Duke, North Carolina State and hometown Villanova as his finalists and told CatsIllustrated.com this week that he plans to announce his decision in the next couple of weeks.
The spring signing period opens Wednesday.
Jefferson is the 36th-best prospect in the class of 2012, according to Rivals.com. He is one of four McDonald's All-Americans in Friday's game, joining North Carolina State signees Tyler Lewis and T.J. Warren and Oklahoma State recruit Marcus Smart.
Friday's game includes one Louisville signee â point guard Terry Rozier of Shaker Heights, Ohio.

Should we be concerned that UK doesn't have any recruits playing in this?
Also, I see that Indiana has three. Could possibly be another regular season loss for the Cats again next year.
