Buddy Johnson, Dez Marshall, Michael Brooks, and Brian Stone from Collins were named to the All-District team. Collins jumped out to a 9-0 lead and never trailed. Collins' size and good defense were too much for Anderson. I think Collins has a good chance at winning the region if they play the way they are capable of playing.

The Collins boys' basketball team won the program's first district title Friday night, meanwhile the Titans' girls' squad came up just short in its own such quest.
The Collins boys' team beat host Anderson County 62-47 in the 30th District final, while the Titans' girls' squad fell to the host Bearcats 47-43 in the same district final.
in the boys' game:
Junior guard Buddy Johnson scored a game-high 18 points - including 10 in the fourth quarter - for the Titans (22-10), who led from the first basket of the game on their way to their fifth straight victory.
Senior center Brian Stone and junior wing Dez Marshall added 14 points apiece for Collins, which will find out who it plays in next week's 8th Region Tournament at Henry County on Sunday afternoon. Stone also grabbed eight rebounds and blocked seven shots. Senior forward Michael Brooks added six points, seven assists and nine rebounds for the Titans.
