final in the second 8th region All A Classic semifinal at Williamstown. Hasnt been reported anywhere (KHSAA site, Kentucky.com).
This sets up an OC-Walton-Verona showdown for a berth in Frankfort week after next. OC won a thriller in Owenton in December, 45-42.
Walton ranked in the top 20 in all of the early ratings. Owen isnt, despite a 14-2 record against a pretty competitive schedule, including wins over WV and Newport Central Catholic, plus 3 convincing wins over Gallatin Co, who is 13-5 after the loss last night. Their only blemishes were close losses were to Ashland Blazer and Paducah Tilghman. They havent played Collins, South Oldham, or Anderson yet, however.
Should be a classic.
