Player to watch: G Desmond Dorsey (6-3, Sr.). “Desmond is a very dynamic player. He can play multiple positions. He can score from anywhere, defend anyone and is a great passer. We’re looking for really big things from him in every area of the game.’’

Other top players: F-C Daniel Ross (6-5, Sr.); G DeMichael Jackson (6-0,Sr.); G Greg Minor (6-0, Sr.); G Diondrey Holt (6-0 Sr.); G Moe Hendricks (5-11, Jr.).

Outlook: We have a lot of potential, but we don’t have the big guy like we had last year in Zach Price (6-10) and Tony Kimbro (6-5). Ross is pretty big and strong around the basket. He’s hard to guard in the paint. The key for us is being a good defensive team. We’ve got to get down and guard people.’’

J-town scrimmaged Manual tonight at J-town. Manual won by 9 points after 4 quarters. J-town won an extra period by 2. Both teams pressed and really pushed the ball throughout the scrimmage. I think both teams will be very good this season in their respective regions.
