It's only 1 year for $30M. He was already signed for 4 more years with an option for the 5th. He accepted the option, so this only adds one more year - It's not a new contract

I wasn't saying it like you were wrong - I've seen it misrepresented by the media that same way when it was acually only an agreement to extend one more year.
