Does Pike add 30+ points to Dixie?
#1
Dixie got pounded by Newport Central Catholic Friday night 42-13. Zeke Pike did not play in this game. Does he add an extra 30+ points to Dixie's final score? And will he be that much of a difference for Dixie in future games? Will he be playing any defense this year? Because with who they have to play this year, Dixie can't be giving up 42 points per game.

I seen a few talking about this on another thread.
Simply put, you'll never know so why ask?
Who knows, maybe if he wouldve played the score could have been reversed, maybe if he played it could have been worse.
Point is, nobody knows. Try to concentrate on when he actually does play.

^???

I'm asking because I DO NOT KNOW. This was week 0. He hasn't played. How can I concentrate on when he actually does play?

no
defense needs to make more stops
#6
No way. He has a tendency to fly off the handle when things don't go his way, as evidenced by the suspension he just served. Losing to NC might have caused him to take a swing at NewCath defender and pick up another suspension. Dixie will go into the Conner game 0-3.

Im not really sure what youre asking me.
I wasnt giving you hell about what you said. It was just a general statement that we will never know, but with a defense giving that much up im not sure if tom brady could have brought dixie back.

I think with Pike, Dixie has more options to work with as far as playing calling, but like nky said, the defense needs to makes stops. I don't think Pike would've made a 30 point difference, and I think NCC still beats Dixie, but i will say this is a different game with Pike playing

I was told by one of Dixie's coaches, that if Pike gets in trouble again, he is looking at a 5 game suspension.

What happened that he did not play?

kicked out of playoff game with Highlands last year for fighting, and had to sit out first game of this year per KHSAA rules.

Dixie got destroyed defensively. An INT for a TD may not have happened, but botton-line, the best team won no matter if Pike was on the field or not!

Agree 100% I have a feeling CovCath will beat them worse than that on there home field.

I think that having Pike in the game would have made atleast a 14 point difference perhaps even a 21 point difference.

Ummm....its not that hard to make a 14 point difference with him in the game!! You have Pike in there, the interception doesn't get thrown or returned for a TD and they probably score on that same drive. There's a 14 point swing right there!

Well Said.

Guarantee Pike throws INT's this season. He threw a bunch last year. He more than likely won't throw as many, but he will throw some for sure. And he doesn't have as much talent at the receiver spots as he did last season after losing their key receiver.

The real question is could he make up 36 points in three quarters the first team was out most of the 4 quarter and dixie score on ncc second team so i say he doesn't matter dixie still loses.

Sorry, forgot about him being perfect and all.:eyeroll:
Just for fun, let's revisit this in two weeks when they're 0-3.:devilflam

If he was perfect, he probably could have made a 30 point difference!

^ Who is Zeke Pike? What has he done on the football field where a score is kept to be that good? I wish him well this season, but it will be the first season he will have proved anything if he does!
#25
With Pike on the field DH, would have scored more than 13 points. NCC would have probably still won but I do think they' would have put up more of a fight on the offensive end.
