Congrats to Pikeville & Good game Harlan (You do seem much improved from last year).

Officials helped Pikeville greatly in this game. Two touchdowns erased from Harlan. Fumble return and touchdown catch. Still congrats to PHS on the win.

Still congrats to PHS on the win.Fumble return happened directly in front of me. Side judge ran in indicating the runner was down and the other refs didn't see it immediately. He saw the runner's knee go down before the "fumble", and so did I. Want to talk about the refs "helping" a team, there were SEVERAL instances in which a lineman from Pikeville was engaged with someone else, and a HHS player hit that lineman below the waist, which is illegal, and it was not called. To be fair, there were some misses that should have been called against PHS as well. Typical game, some missed calls, but none that truly impacted the game. It was a hard fought battle and both teams are to be commended, PERIOD. I can't speak to the erased TD catch, as I didn't have a good view of it, but if it wasn't called, it didn't happen, is my take on it, whether we win or lose.

Why didn't he blow the whistle until the harlan player was running down the field with the ball?

I didn't look to see if he had a whistle, you would have to ask him. Let's move on, it does no one any good to keep beating a dead horse. Good luck on the remainder of the schedule, I met nothing but classy fans from Harlan when I was working the game.

Randy Maynard looked very much in contro of things most of the night. What I really liked was he looked like he was playing within himself and not trying to do things he can't do.
One thing I noticed from Pikeville is when on offense they seemed to at times, stand around to much and watch the player running and not doing enough blocking.
Overall a good showing by both teams.

Agreed Pikeville really needs to work on blocking. I really hope the Panthers work on their Defense and O Line some this week, those were the weakest areas in my opinion.
