Are you serious? Give this kid some credit, ask any team in the 14th or any other region if they would take him and see how many would take him.

YOU ARE A JOKE. This kid was leading the state in scoring at one point this season.

Its OK donnie, that is what a lot the fans over in Booneville have been doing all year. They basicaly used this kid until smith got back and then it was see ya later. Its like I said, they never really gave him credit last year when he was SO good in the district tournament. This year, all we heard was how great they would be when smith returned even though Neeley worked his A$$ off every single night and got nothing but a cold shoulder once the Wonder Kid came back. You don't need him???? You just lost to OBI Owsley....think about that. You would probably have trouble with Riverside right now. You all are a joke.

It really gets on my nerves when people talk about Daniel like that. Especially when alot of them are saying that we'll do better without him. I really couldn't blame him if he played for another school come next basketball season as much as he is looed down on. There have been people saying that he makes the team WORSE because he made some mistakes on the court, like taking bad shots or etc. Nobody is perfect and are allowed to make mistakes. As far as I see it, if a player misses a game winning shot it's not their fault. It's just as much to blame as a player that might have possibly missed a layup, or missed a jumpshot in the 1st quarter. Nobody can truthfully say Owsley is better without Neeley. And what school in the 14th would turn him down? I don't think one would. He would make a solid starter for ay team in the 14th.

From what I have seen and heard, if you are an Owsley fan, you are in the minority of people that actually appreciate Daniel Neeley. I would bet that he will be on another roster next year and boy, oh boy, will Owsley be terrible next year.

You are right indeed that I am an Owsley fan. In fact I don't really like any other team than Owsley and I'm not afraid to admit it. However, I will commend on talent on which many other teams have. That doesn't mean I have to like them. For example, I hate the Lee County Bobcats with a passion, but they have lots of talent and some great players.

I personally know daniel, all he talks about is the sport of basketball... he has a passion for the game and from what i got to see on sports overtime, a pretty good shot as well. He has made many sacrifices from what i understand just to play the sport and secure is future in the sport.. i hope to see him back with the owls or any team for that matter because he deserves to be on the court

Any team in the state would take neeley...He is a great ball player(One of the best in the 14th).......I dont understand how u can dog a 16-17 year old kid on here..espically one of his talent.

And when I talk about how good Daniel is I am not discrediting any other player on the Owls' roster. They are all great athletes. Just that they will suffer without him...

Daniel Neeley is an excellent player who has great potential and a possible future in basketball. Although, unlike some of you I feel that earlier in the season Neeley was more concerned about himself than the good of the whole team. But, I also feel that the Neeley's presence will provide help for the Owls as long as he is worried about the Owls winning and not box numbers which will appear the next day in the newspapers. And on that note I would like to add that I personally think the Owls, if they are a unit, will beat Lee county in the first round of the district tournament, but if they aren't meshing then the game could be an All- A Classic repeat.

Did Neeley quit again? he just came back
02-25-2006, 12:52 PM
i disagree, with that i think Neeley was never treated the way Smith was and Owsley never did give him the credit he deserved. i don't blame him for not wanting to play Smith ball, give credit where it is do, as for Owsley over Lee hmmmmmm even with Neeley no no no, unless Lee has an very very off night which anything could happen. but it would have to be a very off night and Lee is just to good of a team, to have athat bad of an off night an at home that is just wishful thinking aon u part.
