Close Games or Blowouts?
#1
which do you prefer?

I prefer Close games. Close Games has you sitting on the edge of your seat, heart racing, adrenaline flowing, nail bitting. Nothing like em.

Reason for the same thread in different forums is well because we have different sports

If I'm watching close games, but when I played if I lost I'd rather lost by a 100 then by 2. Then again when it came to winning I would take it anyway I can.

Coaching I would perfer a blowout in my favor. Watching with no loyality to either team close ones are fun

I'd rather win and lose close games than blowouts. Close games expose more mistakes throughout the game than a blowout does, and it keeps the team engaged longer.

Me and a few people were talking about this. Would you rather get blown out in the semifinals or lose a heartbreaker in the title game? The blowout is embarrassing, but easier to forget than the heartbreaker.

Blowouts are boring to me. Even when I played I loved nailbiters. I didn't like being on the losing end of those nailbiters, but they were fun games none the less. In close games, especially OT's, everyone's heart and determination comes to the fore. That's when you can tell the most about a team. To me,there's nothing better than a triple OT that ends with a last second score. Except, maybe,a four OTer that ends the same.

I prefer a close game becuase it has you sitting on the edge of your seat, it makes every play on the field a big play, it gets the crowd from both teams into the game, and makes for a exciting time!!

Also, I don't like blowouts because you tend to see some poor sportsmanship from the losing team that can result in stupid penalties and can cause unnecessary injuries.

LOSERS QUIT WHEN THEY'RE TIRED, WINNERS QUIT WHEN THEY HAVE WON

Harlan was on the losing side of a couple of blow outs last season and we saw some pretty bad sportsmanship from one of those teams that beat us. Kind of like kicking a guy when he's down. There was a lot of late hits and things at the end of the game. Stuff like that is uncalled for and shouldn't be tolerated by the officials. But when you are at somebody else's house what can you do.

IDK if other belfry fans notice this but id wether have away game refs but still play at home because our refs seem like they favor the other team...

Oh and if i was playing id wether see it be a blow out or lose by a blowout never close. If i was watching only close if its my team that wins.
