South Laurel Head Coach Steve Wright will be taking the Head Coaching Position at Southwestern

"Another Site"

So with Steve going to Southwestern, this will or should make Brad Sizemore from Garrard County the Frontrunner for the South Laurel Job.

^ Heck of a Pickup for you all. I do believe that with him going to Southwestern, this will make Brad Sizemore from Garrard County the frontrunner for the SL Job being as he was an assistant for awhile there up until last year when he became the head coach of the golden lions

Great hire for Southwestern! This should make things interesting in the 12th Region next year! I think that Steve Wright is the man that can get the Warriors over the top!

Wright has been trying t get out of South Laurel for the last couple years, looks like he finally made it.

Brad Sizemore will likely get the job at South. Looks like JR will be back with his beloved Cards.

LAUREL COUNTY in a single week has got rid of their two winningest coaches Coach Wright and North Laurel girls Coach Bowling( 4 or 5 state championships) ideal of keeping your job in this county is just keep losing and you will be able to coach as long as you want. Coach Wright thanks for the state championship and the 12 regional titles I may never see another in my lifetime in Laurel County good LUCK. Hey how about Roscoe Denny knows more basketball than anyone I know hope he stays.

leecoukfan.....Man I like ya a lot your a great friend BUT.....is this comment meant to be taken as a stab towards Coach Schulz?? If there is ANYONE in the state that is capable of getting the Warriors over the top it IS Dave Schulz. Coach Wright is going to find out soon enough that the SW job isn't what he thinks its going to be.

Now Capt! Coach Wright is stepping into a great spot... He will take over a team with zero problems amongest each other, zero nose in the sky players and will take them to Rupp b/c that team is as close a bunch of kids as people have ever seen.... You know this to be true... right..? HMMMMMMM Confused

I think it is a great hire for Southwestern....But it will be really strange not seeing Dave Schulz on the sideline next winter.

I'm sure the list will be large for the South Laurel job, kinda like the girls job at North Laurel. Very good place to be for someone.

Nobody at south laurel wants brad back.If he comes back half the kids there wont play,everybody here wants Dennis Hammonds the freshman coach.

idk where you get your information but everybody at south laurel wants him back. brad is the best possible coach for south laurel. for you to say half the kids wont play thats crazy. more kids will want to play if he coaches. so you saying kids wont wont to play is 100% wrong brad sizemore will be the best thing that happens to south laurel basketball

Brad has been around South Laurel Basketball all his life till last year he accepted Garrard County head coaching job. Brad is eats,sleeps and breaths basketball. The kids like Brad and if Roscoe Denny stays around to help would be a good hire. Brad is young and needs the experience that Roscoe brings.:Thumbs:
