Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com says he's hearing that there is "a strong possibility" that Terrence Jones will withdraw from the NBA Draft and return to Kentucky.

There is a Strong Possibility that Stardust will NOT enter the 2011 NBA draft, but it's just a STRONG POSSIBILITY!
Geeze, this is all it takes to get published.....

I couldn't agree more Wildcatk23
People jump on them like he's going to the NBA but never has yet but when there's news that comes out that there's a possibility of a player returning to school they jump on it with both feet saying there's a possibility for this and that. Kentucky has some haters on this site even tho Kentucky is Supposedly there favorite school but there not they just like putting them down

Unless I am mistaken that article is based on the feedback from GMs and other player personel that attended the UK combine. It appears Jones was told he could be a top five pick by some and others told him that he needed another year of school. Andy Katz spoke with Calipari and his article seems to share the same sentiments but you know, Haters gonna Hate.

I do know this. He has a class with a close relative of mine and he told her last week that he may be coming back. Maybe he was telling the truth and maybe not, but he did put that out there.:yikes:

I thought he hurt UK a lot last year, but now facing the possibility of him leaving, I've changed my mind and want him to stay!

You are right. Early in the season he did. I thought he was a blackhole when the ball went to him. I think Calipari realized that the offense couldn't run through him last year based solely on UK's lineup. I think next year if he comes back he will be the matchup nightmare we all thought he could be. Teams will not be able to double team the post. Not to mention that if Liggins comes back that they will have the length to be an all time great defensive team. It is something to get excited about if it happens.

If he comes back or even if he doesn't, I'm scratching my head as to what the starting lineup will be. Soooo much talent.

I believe you're right about that. Everyone in the country knows that Liggins is known as a defensive player. However, not many people realize that one of Gilchrist's strongest attributes is his defense(along with his ability to create shots). Throw that in with one of nation's shot blockers, in Anthony Davis, and you got a good defensive team.

The mother of University of Kentucky freshman basketball player Terrence Jones said Wednesday that her son probably will wait until Sunday's deadline to decide whether to remain in the NBA Draft.
Meanwhile, Kentucky Coach John Calipari is talking as though freshman guard Brandon Knight has already made up his mind to turn pro.
Jones and Knight recently completed a two-day skills showcase at UK's Joe Craft Center that was heavily populated with representatives from NBA teams. Linda Jones said her son will consider the feedback he received and spend the next few days making a final decision.
Calipari told ESPN's Andy Katz on Wednesday that Jones received mixed signals from NBA personnel and that Knight heard the news he wanted.
Knight is projected by many analysts as a top-five draft pick.
"You had some guys tell (Jones) he's a 1-2-3-4 pick in the draft next year, and there were some telling him you should go back, and there were others saying he should stay in the draft,'' Calipari said. "Brandon got the confirmation that he wanted (that he should stay in the draft), and DeAndre (Liggins) met with five or six teams. Josh (Harrellson) met with four teams.''
Linda Jones said she planned to speak with Kentucky assistant coach Kenny Payne about how the UK combine went and her son's future.
"There really isn't anything new at this point," she said. "I plan on talking with Terrence later (on Wednesday) to see what he's thinking, but no decisions have been made. He'll listen to what the coaches and (NBA) GMs have to say, and I think he'll probably use all the time that he has before he decides."
Linda Jones noted the timing of the deadline, which falls on Mother's Day.
"I really don't think Mother's Day is the greatest day to ask a young man to decide on his future, but we'll work with it the best we can," she said.
Jones is projected as the No. 11 pick in the latest NBA Mock Draft released by ESPN.com's Chad Ford on Wednesday.
Jones, Knight and Liggins entered their names in the NBA Draft last month but have not hired agents, meaning they are eligible to return to UK if they withdraw from the draft by Sunday's deadline.
