All games at NKU Bank of Kentucky Arena, which is a great place to watch high school one-and-gone hoops.
Wednesday 3-2
Ryle vs. CovCath at 6 p.m.
NewCath vs. St. Henry at 7:30 p.m.
Thursday 3-3
Dixie Heights vs. Highlands at 6 p.m.
Holmes vs. Boone at 7:30 p.m.
Semis on Saturday and final on Sunday. I presume both the girls and boys finals will be on Sunday, like last year.
Favorites in each bracket have to be NewCath and Dixie, but five maybe even seven teams have a legitimate shot ... if one of 'em gets hot, like Newport did last year. Best first-round match-up figures to be Holmes-Boone. The Holmes-Boone Region 9 final two years ago, when Holmes won state, was one of the best high school games I've ever seen.
