what do the wildcats need to do to improve from last year's disappointing 2-9 season in which they did make the playoffs?

Just curious..why does Bath not play Rowan? They are 15 miles apart.

Because there isn't enough space on the scoreboard to keep track of all of the points Rowan would score.

Yes. it was a long standing rivalry from the late 70's-early80's until about 3-4 years ago. The overall record is about even but Bath beat Rowan pretty soundly on their home field in the last game they played about 4 years ago. Rumor has it that the coach from Rowan Co. at the time said there was "No upside" to playing 1A-small 2A school and did not renew the contract. Many of the alumni from both sides want to renew the rivalry. Hopefully, now that Bath Co. is in 3A, maybe it can happen.

They have made the best adjustment they could have - they got older. 95% of the team that played minutes last year were Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshmen. And that number was heavily weighted toward the Sophomore and Freshman class. They will be taking the field with 21 returning starters that are now Seniors, Juniors, and a few Sophomores. Do not be shocked if this team has 7 or 8 wins (or more) under it's belt when the playoffs start.
With the incoming Junior and Sophomore classes being large(20+ each) and loaded, and some large and loaded classes coming up from the MS ranks over the next 2 years, look for this to be a breakout year for the Cats that may be the start of something good for a while.
